Not sure how you can lock the door now that the horse has bolted. A lot obviously depends on your relationship with Mrs G and the reason for your travels. On what you've given, I'd take the high moral ground and leave where you are staying. (even book a shtt hole nearby and commute between them). Tell Mrs G to stick AirBNB, never again etc, tramps and their boyfriends wandering in and out, used your towel to dry their feet (put a stinky deflection in), they took your prize food etc. Don't bring up the subject but let her do it.

Not sure if she will swallow all that but it will cloud the picture. Housewives have their own intelligence dept and she will be reporting back on you. A bad move is giving these women the run of the joint but we learn by our mistakes.

I was vid-calling Mrs G at a time when I was alone and the room was free of incriminating evidence. All was going well. I was sitting on the bed chatting away. Then suddenly the girly I had invited up later came thru the door, much earlier than expected, talking in a full voice on speaker phone. Next to her was her girlfriend doing the same thing. The ruckus would have been clearly audible by my phone's mic.

Needless to say, I shit myself and tried to get them to be quiet and disappear. Obviously this is impossible while in the middle of a video call. At some point I've had my arms flapping around, getting them to shut up and generally get out of the room (which the girls instinctively did) and accidentally rotated the camera to the front screen. This gave Mrs G a full view of my panicked face, the girls walking through the door unhindered, my arms flapping around and then them making a hasty retreat. These girls clearly were not old haggards, there to clean the room.

To say Mrs G was unimpressed and demanding an explanation is an understatement. Obviously, there is no explanation for two hot chicks to be walking straight through the door into her husband's room at 8 pm. All I could do was play stupid and repeatedly say that there is no one in the room and I don't know what she saw or is talking about. There is no way I'm going to get away with this totally unscathed and the return home is going to be eventful.

My biggest fuck up was not keeping the front door locked. The one thing that I didn't realise was that the AirBnB that I was staying at has residential (not commercial hotel) door latch sets. This means that they must be manually locked everytime rather than automatically locking whenever the door closes (as hotel doors do).

Moral of the story: always check your door and know whether it locks automatically or manually.

In the referenced post AB was about eating around the world. In other references it was that AB was a fellow monger around the world. In some of his episodes he would point out some pnp locations.

Then he killed himself like the same day or day after when he found out. I guess that scenario plays out more often in Thailand than PI, or at least it is seen in the news more often in Thailand.

I agree that free handouts destroy a Pinay's resilience and work ethic. So why do western men from rich countries keep falling into this trap? Paternal instincts cloud their sound judgement. They think they are doing something to help out the poor Pinay in distress and charity makes them feel better. Maybe we should stop interfering in the natural order of things.

I will explain the circumstances surrounding this poor massage girl, relate it back to what Choca Monger says and you can understand how everything goes wrong in a Pinay's life. This girl came back to Makati from Caloocan after Christmas to make a few extra pesos before heading back home for NYE. Caloocan is only about 1. 5 hours away from Makati so this was a feasible plan. On the 28 Dec she had one western massage client at her shop. After the flip, he points to his hard on and asks for sex. She refuses. He then offers her 3,500 PHP for one pop, right there on the table. Thats right, $70 USD for 10 minutes work. She still refuses, but goes into the lounge and brings back her co-worker, introduces her to the monger and leaves. The co-worker gladly accepts the mission.

On the 29 Dec, it pissses down all day and night in Makati and there is not a single walk-in monger. So she goes home empty handed. Not to worry, there is always tomorrow to get a few extra mongers and a few extra pesos to afford the bus fare home. However, the rain does not stop on the 30 Dec. It's still pisssing down. Now if I hadn't interfered in the natural order, would things have turned out differently? Would this Pinay have maintained her work ethic and not worried about pride? Probably yes. She would have taken the FS assignment and pocketed a nice 3,500 PHP which would have been enough for her to sponsor a massive NYE's party at her family's house. Why did she knock back the FS assignment? Because she assumed she had a rich foreigner BF who would always keeping sending money and that spreading her legs on the massage table was now beneath her.

For those who are wondering what a five-six is which CM refers to, that denotes the 20% weekly interest payable on micro loans. That is, if a Pinay borrows 50 pesos, she must pay back the money lender 60 peso the following week.

Sorry, but I've got to call BS on this one. While many stay with in poverty traps there are also self made millionaires who started from very humble backgrounds. For these, growing up in poverty can become a great incentive to better themselves and generate a point to prove.

One of my girls is a dentist and she puts a lot of braces on pinays. Bottom line is the girls think they are poor and will stay poor even if they save some of the donated money. Do not realize if they save little by little it adds up.

They will spend and give to family in the expectation that when they need it returned it will be, not always in the form of an explicit loan repayment but often in help, room and board etc, when they need it.

Culturally they believe that savings is done in the form of giving to family and getting back when they need it. Of course in every family there are some free loaders taking advantage of this and that will always keep the girls poor.

I had a long term GF from SA back home. She was from a very poor family. One day I gave her $2000 CDN to pay off her credit card, within two weeks her sister, just as poor, got a tax refund. Instead of paying off some debts sister bought tickets to Vancouver to see a concert. GF bought VIP backstage tickets on the newly paid off credit card.
