That depends. If his friends are staying at the Mansion, he may just want to meet them in the area, to start the day exploring. However, sometimes, depending upon the phase of the moon, or some other unknown reason, they will let outside guests in, for a 50 k door fee. They don't offer it to everyone and whether or not they let you in has nothing to do with if you know people who are staying there. Other times, only guests are allowed in and they aren't allowed to bring in other mongers.

That is correct! You can meet some friends (not ladies) there and then go off to party with them, same goes with La cueva which is their club / bar not allowed in after certain time of the night and if they at all you have to pay a cover. I forget what it was.

I did not find any luck with FB girls so I decided to open an account on colombian cupid. After paying $59.99 for 3 months, I received tons of responses from women between 31 and 46 years of age. Most of them are in the range of 4 and have a job. All of them gave me their whattsapp number, so I can communicate with them on phone and see them on camera. The problem is that most of them stays offline due to the fact that they do not have internet services at home and use the phone as internet. Also during the day time they are working and cannot use their phone at work. We vaguely chat during the night or see on cam. Most of them will expose themselves on camera and do a video sex act or mastrubate that shows their willingness for sex. Only 2 of them have so far asked for help with paying their bills and sending the money by western union and I deleted them. None of them speak any english and speak spanish very rapidly. I can understand the spanish, but loose the track when they speak very fast. I use the translator for communication. Yeah, that's definitely a problem. The other is having her come back to your place before you've had a chance to gauge whether she's stable as you've mentioned. Laureles is fine at night, unless you're falling down drunk. But, no place is safe when you're that drunk.

Why deal with traffic going from Laureles to Poblado? Depending on your walking pace, San Peter Suites is 5 to 10 minutes away from the Estadio metro station. Take the metro to San Antonio station, switch trains to Poblado station and you're there in 15 minutes. From there grab a taxi to the Mansion, or better yet to Centro Comercial La Strada, where you can meet your friends and have an excellent breakfast at Al Alma Cafe. It's just a short walk down hill from the Mansion.

I usually in Monger in Europe and Mexico (just because it is closer to home). This is my first time in South America.

I will probably squeeze a trip to Bogota in there, if possible.

First I want to start out with ahhh, I love this place. Great climate, Great Food, and Great Chicas! I spent my first 3 night at the Mansion which was nice, it was a little slower than usual because they had just opened again from being shut down. The Mansion was a great place to get your bearings and a great place to your mongering education. Lots of guys as I'm sure as here too have been mongering all over the world. The M is nice because everything is self contained, the chicas are there and you can order food to be delivered there. Yes, some guys visit Medellin and never leave the M. This however is not my style as I like to be out with the local population too and do some touristy stuff. The guys will hang out by the pool in the day and swap stories on their adventures and there will be some fun people to hang out with. During this time different chicas will be coming in and hanging out too. The girls will be anywhere from 5-9's and really do have it in their best interest to please you because it's a privilege for them to be allowed in. You can pull from the local talent and can bring them in to the M but I like to support the ones that are already there.

It's not uncommon for guys to bring in food and feed 4-6 chicas and give them drinks, kind of like a fun party. I gathered quite a few phone numbers while I was there just in case I wanted to have them over to my apartment later on in my trip. While you pay a little more for the Chicas this way you will be in a safe controlled environment which would be nice for the less traveled. For my next trip to Medellin, I would love to unload about 15,000 Mexican pesos I have. I want to exchange them in Medellin for Colombian pesos. I imagine though that you get a terrible exchange rate just like when you exchange dollars for COP.

Can anyone report on MX peso to COP rates?

Many years ago I used to travel to South America quite frequently on business. I was always hosed exchanging one countries currency for another. You will get a far worse rate exchanging MNP for COP than the equivalent of exchanging USD for COP.

Lots depends on the country you are currently in. For example, if you're in the US and never plan to go to Mexico ever again, exchange the MNP for USD. Yes, you'll take a hit but I don't think it will be worse than trying to exchange MNP to COP in Colombia. If you do plan to visit Mexico again, just save your MNP (it is worth about $800 USD) for your next trip.
