As someone who has worked with one of the top 5-star groups, I can say that most of what you say is spot on. Most hotels, esp premium ones, choose to turn a blind eye to such things. Also, as per my knowledge, the front office staff is usually never"trained" to catch this, but with experience, they'd just know. On the other hand, it is the security team that would actually be trained. From the guy who is at the gate, to the one who checks the boot / underbody of your car to the doorman. They are all super skilled to catch this and many more. But this is not something they'd be too worried about.

I've personally seen a lot of people, esp firangs, bring in totally pro-looking girls (cheap & slutty dressing, overly done make up etc etc). They always end up being just another topic the staff would have a good laugh about during their sutta breaks!

If you're planning to stay just a night, it is always better to check in together, or let the staff know that you'd be joined by someone (no need to even mention if it would be a girl / man). If you're staying for 5 days or more, they'd rather not bother your mongering as keeping a long staying customer is more important to them than causing a petty issue!

If somebody claims you can smuggle from basement / parking or restaurants located in upper floors, I completely disagree. Almost all hotels will immediately know if a girl is entering your room. They will check your reservation status and then decide to disturb / question you or not. Hotels also have CCTV from crime / security / unauthorized entry / movement robbery by staff drunken nuisance etc perspective.

This is a good post. There is so much of discussions happening around this and I thought let me add two cents.

Go to any couple friendly Oyo or Stayuncle or Makemytrip. If you want to go premium, there is Oyo Townhouse. If you still want to upgrade, go to any chain hotel, or for that matter any 5 star hotel.

In Oyo, I usually scan through guest list while entering my name in the register. Of three times I have checked in Bangalore, twice I found a known WG in the register. Once, I saw WG Sonia (the one who took my money without sex) in the lift.

Believe me guys, no one fucking cares if your girl is a wife or GF or WG. I mean no one fucking cares! Business drives norms. As long as you don't bring a street hooker from majestic bus stand, its fine at the reception. Make sure your girl is dressed properly, don't raise eyebrows for the family crowd and has original ID other than Pan card. Its very legal.

Don't smuggle girls in. That's illegal and you could be caught.

Best option.

Both check in together. While discussing with the girl, always ensure she had an ID other than pan. Checking in together makes you look like BF GF which most GF friendly hotels will turn a blind eye too. The biggest advantage here is that you see the girl before you are at the hotel and can easily assess if she is presentable. If not abort by paying off their taxi charge.

2) second best option is girl checking in later. Best used at star hotels and works well if you know the girl well (repeat) and that she has an ID. The room has to be booked in double occupancy and you have to inform them that a friend will check in later, during your check-in conversation..

All hotels have CCTV setup at common areas incl Lobby, Reception, Lifts, corridors, hallways, lift landing areas, kitchen, restaurants, gym, parking, basement, staff / service entrances excluding the rooms and spa treatment rooms, whether its a Rs. 500 per short term or 25000 per night hotel. Its a legal prerequisite. No hotel is permitted to run without CCTV. Of course some hotels leave CCTV unsupervised, some have the manager or front office supervise it along with their other work, and larger star hotels have dedicated personnel monitoring it 24 X7.

No hotel by law can stop two adults from cohabiting, as long as the guest is paying for 2 people, are adults and have necessary ID to prove their ages. Even if its local IDs. Just like an experienced shopkeeper can differentiate a window shopper vs a serious shopper, most Front Office managers at hotels are trained to distinguish a wife vs GF vs discrete adulterers having affair Vs hookers vs escorts vs semipros. Make no mistake. No hotel will stop a genuine GF or 2 adulterers having an affair.

Its the discretion of the hotel whether they want to allow a semipro or a pro. If the hotel thinks their regular family / business guests business will suffer and they don't want reputation as a mongering / green hotel, if they allow mongering crowd, they refuse mongering crowd. Some hotels allow as long as the SW and the monger seem decent and do not raise eyebrows. Some hotels, like fruit tree, chance Rey hotel, EC hotels, Majestic hotels don't care. Lo of their biz depends only on such crowd.

There is no formula or methods to get a girl in. It purely depends on the hotel, its business profile, its policy and your / WG appearance.
