Since traveling to Medellin. 1 Too many guys have a need to understand why girls participate in the activity of selling their body to earn money, I see it as a job and if you can not deliver on the job or deliver what you market, you should not be working or marketing. If you can not be on time, you deserve to loose money and customers. Too many gringos settle for subpar service as a result of making themselves believe that are steal receiving a good deal. I don't, and I don't have to see you again, there are far too many girls in Medellin to be negotiating with one, if she flakes, move on, trust me, it does not get better and behavior is habitual. 2. If you bring the right gifts, you can barter many items for sex, do no allow anyone on this board to tell you different. For example: you want to get some exciting sex and only pay cab fee, bring a girl a somewhat new Samsung or Iphone, and it does not have to be up to date, it just has to look new and function well, many of the girls in Centro and Vera Cruz will definitely trade sex for nearly new J3- J5 or J7 phone, it does not have to be the flagship Galaxy S5-S9's, I have done it many times. 3. Last but not least, unless I am the luckiest monger on this side of the planet, the best place and deals to monger are in Centro. If you listen to any on this board that says different, they are bold face lying, scared, or acted out of character and revealed that they were targets of being robbed. I am in no way the biggest or baddest guy on the planet, but I did travel to Medellin 17 times last year. I stayed in Centro each time, and not one time was I robbed, harmed, or afraid to go to Vera Cruz to pick up a girl to take back to my room. Many guys will send you out to Poblado and Laureles and other areas to keep you away from centro because the best rates and the easiest girls are found right there in Centro. If you want to spend more money, have a false sense of security, and depend on people who prey on overcharging gringos. Go right ahead to Poblado, Laureles and everywhere else, I will continue to return to Centro, where the girls are plentiful and the prices are cheap. Remember this, those who have to most to lose will always stir you away from where the gold is by using fear tactics and trying to convince you that a particular place is bad. I had to learn this the hard way and finally came to terms that many mongers on the board want all of the Gems for themselves. I believe in treating people the same way that I am treated, if I don't work, then I don't eat, that philosophy alone has save me much money and much heart ache, to each his own, I just wanted to chime in for any potential guys who may want to travel to Medellin and not be overcharged by establishments in over saturated areas of gringos like Poblado and Laureles. Many on the board have never been to a so called "bad area" in the US, let alone Centro after dark. Thats just my two cent on recent posts on the board with so much warning literature, most of it is hype and geared to drive you to places that over charge gringo's unnecessarily. Pollonegro is out. If you book a girl and she flakes, don't book her again. And if she reaches out, tell her the reason you are no longer interested. Always have plan be ready, but double booking is wrong IMO. There are many guys with no class or decency that will do this often, but what happens when they both show up? One will be pissed and hopefully all she does is leave peacefully. Nice post and you are right. None of us want to be treated as if we deserve to be taken advantage of but that goes both ways and if an otherwise decent girls misses on a payday it's a big deal. The worst that can happen to us if a date does not work out is we delay our gratification for a few hours. We can be decent people in this process. Once I make a date and set a time I always explain that I am done communicating with other girls and will not change my plans but that she has to stay in touch and communicate. Well, now that I know where on Calle 33 you're planning on going, I can save you a trip. There's nothing on Calle 33 at UPB worth your time. There's some cheap restaurants, Medellin's only laundromat and not far away is a block full of barbers and hairdressers. The night clubs are further away to the east and it's not an area where gringos typically go.

On the other side of UPB is Carrera 70 and you get a lot of college students at the bars and clubs there, but good luck finding anyone on 33.

JjBee62 is right, I went to a night spot on Calle 33 with a chica I know there, and I was the only gringo in the spot. I got many looks. No one started any trouble, but.

I definitely wouldn't go back by myself.

So I've been staying at the San Peter Apartments in Laureles. Its in a nice area, reception doesn't really bother me with girls, just checks their ID, but the bed and wifi is terrible. I also want to try staying in Poblado for a change.

I've recently found a studio apartment right on the street next to poblado park on cr. 43. This would mean total freedom in terms of who goes and comes. No ID checks, no receptionist, no security as the guy who rents them doesn't in Medellin. It seems to be in a decent part of town.
