Should be, roof top bar is open 11-8 ish, 2nd floor restaurant I don't use, it's eat what they got kinda place, I do Versailles for breakfast and then Brasa Pan which is cheap and 24 HR.

This is my second trip to Medellin. The first MDE trip (search my December 2017 report), gave me a lot of good newbie experience in what MDE has to offer, and it also allowed me to filter out some unproductive activities and explore some new ones. I thought I already knew a lot between my two prior trips to CO, but I still learned a crap ton this time.

A few things to keep in mind when you're reading this. First I don't like doing it in an unfamiliar hotel or strip club and I want to take her back for the higher level of comfort. This is one major reason why I went with the Mansion in '17, in addition to that place being really safe. Bringing girls back does come with its own issues from time to time, mainly tardiness and the risk of theft in your room. As taking girls back to your hotel is the norm in the Philippines, I've had some experience prepping my room for strangers.

For this trip I booked a BnB in Laureles-Estadio, which gives you easy access to the Centro scene via a 5 minute Uber ride (Uber cost about 6-10 k depending on the time of day and taxi is 7-10 k depending on how confused the driver is). After having been to Santa Fe in Bogota I've gotten more confidence in dealing with street girls (you can read that report too in Aug '18). Every girl has been more or less forgiving of my lack of Spanish with the majority being very much so. Generically speaking, if she's giving you a hard time with your Spanish, she's not going to give you good service anyway.

I could not find a previous report that answers the question whether the Centro girls will take a taxi with you as far as Laureles so I feel this is worth exploring. FB is another source I used in my first trip. FB girls will come to you, doesn't matter where you live, as long as it's not a bad neighborhood. So staying in the more mid-tier Laureles made no difference. Overall not using the Mansion, while I don't get the truly interesting and helpful community there, does save me a lot of money. My BNB is twice as large and half the price of a Mansion room. If you go the same route as me with an Airbnb and bringing girls back, please read the host's policy about girls. Some hosts are very aware that guests may bring back hookers and have explicit policies against it. This Airbnb didn't have a lot of amenities lying around, which is good because anything that belongs to the host that goes missing is your responsibility. Last time in Bogota, a girl stole the host's hairdryer and my wooden comb. If you stay in a hotel, the minibars should be cleaned out before any girls arrive unless you want them grabbing overpriced candy bars. Since BNBs don't have safes, I have a portable safe from eBay, which I use for my passport and extra cash. My phone and wallet are in my pants whenever I go shower.

Next, I prefer BBFS. Each to their own on this one. Because girls almost never want others to know they do BB, I can't share the names on ISG. Overall the rate of girls who will do BBFS is something like 50% on FB, about 80% for the Centro SWs, and 0% for girls who work in the well known bars. Not enough data points for me in casas to say what the % is there but the girls working in smaller casas probably are more likely to do so.

Finally, I also have a lot of time this trip so for those who can't deal with waiting, FB is not a good option. Instead try on-site service at casas and strip clubs. You can also pick up SWs at various places.

Brief Spanish notes: in Colombia, "cancelar" usually means to pay instead of to cancel. I've messed up at least one appointment because I thought the girl wanted to cancel. I've heard this several times and it screwed up the translation each time until I mentally corrected it. Colombians never seem to use "beber" for drinking alcohol, always "tomar", which also translates to "to take". It can be confusing when they use it without a direct object in the same sentence. Another common translator mistake is when girls don't add the accent to si, and it turns the "yes" into an "if". If you use a foreign transaction fee free card like BoA Travel Rewards, tell the cashier "puedes usar pesos para la moneda de la transaccion". Sometimes they'll automatically charge in your native currency with a conversion fee.

Day 1.

Arrived late in MDE, around midnight. Thanks to another report on ISG I started looking for Davivienda ATMs instead of a BancoColombia one. Davivienda doesn't charge ATM fees. Although my Schwab card should reimburse the fees, they do it in a lump sum at the end of the month and I have no easy way of verifying whether all fees have been refunded. So if it's not an inconvenience, I'm going to go to Davivienda from now on. They limit withdrawals to 320 k but you can withdrawal multiple times.

Despite the posted rate of 70 k for a solo taxi from the airport to anywhere in Medellin, the white taxi drivers won't take it. They're offering shared rides with 3-4 riders for 50 k each. Since there's no traffic at night I just went with that option.

I got settled in at 1:30 am. I thought I'd check out Centro in case there's something still left there. My thinking was if there were no girls, I would have paid 15-20 k round trip for some late-night intel, which is still worth it. I'm not recommending to do this at 2 am for anyone by the way. The street that I was walking on though was relatively well lit, so I didn't feel I was in danger. I asked the Uber driver to go to the intersection of Calle 53 and Carrera 54 and started walking east on Calle 53. On my way there in the Uber, I saw that the chica population is pretty thin but they were still out there. Luckily for me after not even walking for 10 seconds I saw a bunch of girls sitting there with one of them being very pretty. She was blond with light brown eyes, white skin, European facial features and her tits were of a nice size, and not fat, at least not on initial inspection. I was planning a trip to Eastern Europe to meet girls like this but Medellin can get you close looks-wise. The session did go relatively smoothly although it was hard to get her to do exactly what I wanted. Maybe a communication issue. She didn't kiss much and didn't like FIV. I shot it partially inside her and she pulled out before I completely finished inside, paid her a 20 k propina and a 10 k for a return taxi ride.

Day 2.

Picked up stuff at an Exito. They require a physical passport to buy things with a foreign Visa. I didn't have to show my passport in a Bogota Exito so it must be store specific. There was a helpful local lady behind who spoke English. She sees me buying water and she told me the tap water here is safe to drink. I tried it when I got home, and it was indeed crisp and without any metallic or chemical taste. For the rest of the trip, besides the first several bottles I just put tap water in the fridge and it tastes great with no issues. I used that for everything else too, like coffee and tea.

I went to buy a SIM card. I tried buying one from a small convenience store but I couldn't understand the guy. I think he told me I have to add credit for data at a Tigo / Claro office, so he was no help. I then came across a small cell phone repair shop. The guy there was really helpful. "yo quiero un SIM card con solo datos" is enough to get across what I needed. I got 30 days of 4 G data only with 2 GB of credit for 45 k. Plenty for maps, FB, and WhatsApp. He showed me the menu of services on his computer and there was a 7 day / 650 MB and a 30 day option, so nothing exactly for my length of stay. You don't really need voice / text since everyone has WhatsApp. Receiving text messages and calls for app verification and things like that is always free. Don't buy SIM cards at the airport unless you absolutely need it immediately.

Contacted my first FB girl. She seemed eager to meet, so that's also a good sign. I proposed 150 k for her but she suggested 200 k. I said for 200 k I'd want BB and she accepted. I also paid her a 20 k tip and about 20 k for taxis round trip. She also showed up pretty much on time. Her session was great. Her photos are accurate enough, though she was a little curvier than anticipated. Not fat though, and she had some baby damage. Typical Paisa look, ie, dark hair Iberian with fair skin. Then I started walking around the blocks, but when I got to Calle 56 I realized this is starting to get iffy and I GTFO'd as quickly as I can. There are some semi-aggressive trannies scattered throughout but I didn't make eye contact so they didn't bother me after initially calling out at me. There are lots of bars around that area with freelancers, but I think they end at Calle 55 I think, so there's no reason to go up to Calle 56 where it's not well lit. Overall the SW, bar FL population wasn't high. Bogota's Santa Fe definitely beats this entire Centro area when it comes to SW quantity as well as quality.

Maybe she would if I walked away but given the few choices there at the moment, I think she was one of the better ones so I agreed. Day 4.

Continued to message some some Fase Dos girls but I'm not getting the kind of responses I'm looking for. Messaged a FB girl who's pretty hot. I had my eye on her since my last trip to MDE. She doesn't do BBFS and charges 200 k. I find that generally the hotter the girl the better they take care of themselves and won't do BB.

Around afternoon, I headed to Centro starting at the Veracruz church. Walked for about 30 min and poking my head into several bars, no lookers, but finally on one side of one street (and not the other side) there were a bunch of good looking girls all over there. In the end Exito is a lot more convenient.

Sunday night, no FB girl that I messaged was working. I was curious what the Veracruz area is up to at midnight. Even though I went, it's not really a good idea at this time. I don't stand out as a foreigner as much from afar, but taller gringos, especially with fair hair, would. My Uber driver warned me to be careful as well. There are cops scattered throughout that area, but their coverage is fairly low so it's still not very safe overall.
