True, yes, I was told by an escort who I've seen in both Rio and Sao Paulo that it is all locals in SP. I saw her first in SP in 2017 and then again in Rio in 2018 and her English had improved out of sight from moving to Rio. She said it's because in SP she really had no English speaking clients so didn't speak English, while in Rio had many English speaking clients so she spoke it often and her English was better. So understand what you are saying. My frustration with Athena was more because I thought she could have made the effort to use the translator herself. I guess you can say that in general when you get to smaller cities the are often a little more friendly. But that said, if you have a little language skills the gate to heaven opens. I have been a lot in Rio (the sate), Minas Gerais and in the North east and I have not had any similar experience. But on the other hand I do get around with my Portuguese. I have only been in SP for really short stay for business meeting, so can't really say. I will how ever try out SP monger scene this autumn (October or November) and get a first hand experience. So good to have this forum to lean on.

Big Boss Man, I was actually going to say you have to be about 45 or under to pursue young non-pro Brasileiras in a bar / club. It's not a hard rule, but I didn't want to burst anyone's bubble. Some older guys might successfully work social media, but there are always economic incentives in the background.

It sounds like that sarcastic Brasilian guy, might have been a bit of a prick. If I joke around with a guy like that in a bar, I usually make them feel welcome. I would also say that in my limited experience Brazilians are friendlier in the secondary cities like Curitiba, Porto Alegre and Belo Horizonte. I don't know the Northeast.

This topic always pops up on all the boards on ISG and every sex forum. Picking up civilians can be done, but with limited time and the wide availability of pros it doesn't make sense for most.

I went to O'Malleys once when I was in my late fifties. I definitely was 2 decades older than the next oldest person. I would also say you need language skills. I tried to order a an after-dinner Bailey's with ice. The waiter didn't understand ice. The group sitting next to me knew some English and tried to help but didn't know the word "ice" either. Finally I pulled out my Portuguese-English dictionary and got to the word "helado" if I remember correctly. One of the guys from the table goes, "That was a big effort to find the word 'ice'. " Then their whole table was cracking up laughing. People are friendly there but I don't think it is an old guy's scene. The place was rockin' though.

When I was at Tangara a few days ago, I saw a sign posted on the wall. I don't really speak Portuguese, but if I understood it correctly, it said that prices were going to change later this week. Is that true? Could someone please confirm?

To follow-up my own post, I visited Tangara again today, and Susan confirmed that the price will increase starting this Friday to R120 for 30 minutes and R170 for 60 minutes.

Incidentally, when I visited Yankin, I think those were the same prices there, which have increased since the last time they were reported here on the forum.

There is an adage that if you don't have game at home, you won't have game in Brazil. Some awkward guys think that buying drinks and waiving an American passport is going to impress Brazilian girls. If that is working, chances you have wound up with a pro or semi-pro. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

ABG and others are right. It's hard to break into a group conversation without an introduction and fluency in Portuguese. As a general rule anywhere around the globe, if a girl speaks English she will be curious in Americans. If you are speaking to a buddy or a bartender who knows some English, you might look around to see which girls listened in and reacted. Don't automatically dismiss the Brazilian guys who speak English. Brazilian guys enjoy hooking up their fellow planetary brothers.

It's not easy, but hooking up with "civilian" girls can be done. I would also recommend creating a work backstory that brings you down to Brazil and allows you to tack on vacation days. You don't want to give off the vibe that you are hunting.

Al-salaam guys. There is a very different vibe at Yankin and Tangara. Yankin specializes in girls who are hot but detached. Tangara specializes in girls who are nice 'n' trashy.

Tangara is always bustling with customers. Yankin is usually empty of guys despite the good lineup. So I guess that is Brazilian guys saying what kind of girl they prefer.

I can see there is a place at Tangara for girls who need ten sessions a day, while Yankin is good for a girl who has "standards" and only needs one or two sessions a day. Interestingly though, the price per session is about the same at both clinicas.

I certainly believe you are well intentioned in providing these observations, and there is a human tendency to generalize but you seem to take it to an unwarranted level after what, one or two visits?

There are several reasons for the different level of activity at TG and Yankin but honestly I think it has nothing to do with your observations at all. Furthermore how can you possibly characterize the ladies that work in either place based on such scanty data?

TG is busy because its physically large and has a huge ever changing lineup, its easy to get to, and it has a huge rep. TG is really an outlier. It has everything to do with its physical setup, its aggressive management and recruitment, its word of mouth strength and its pricing.

Yankin is like most of the other small clinicas that are not TG.

Admittedly, there are some girls that cannot take the high volume activity in TG, and some that thrive in it. But I would not go so far as to say the houses "specialize" in any type of girl as yo are so anxious to do. One of TGs advantages is that they do not require girls to adhere to any fixed schedule so its more correct to say that it attracts a lot of girls that prefer the freedom of working or not working when they want.
