Anyone has recommendations for reliable labs in Bangalore where they do complete STD / HIV tests ?

1.) Laalaaji's Pathology Laboratories, STD panel costs 2. 8 K.

2.) Doktor Safe Hands dot com, STD panel basic costs 2. 8 K. On the same portal, for 4. 1 K, along with STD panel basic they test for Hepatitis-B, Hepatitis-C and also provide individual results of HSV-I&II IgG, IgM. On Dokotor safe portal, there is a discount for online payment.

3.) I've used Aaaraaathi Scans in ExPM area, experience was not good due to heavy CT / MRI crowd (stares from people while billing for HIV tests) and relatively expensive, similar experience at VeeJaya Diagnostics in ExPM area. I'd personally avoid these two laboratories.

4.) Another member, ColaCola2 mentioned about "Father"tist hospital in North Bangalore. I've not visited that hospital, don't have any personal experience.

Side-notes:-

1.) Unlike the other run-of-the-mill hospital / clinic / laboratories, at the first two labs I've mentioned(Laalaaji and Doktor Safe), there is a scope for discretion and privacy if you visit during non-peak hours. One can get tested with out any Doctor prescription. Usually I give sample post lunch or in the evening after 7:00 PM to avoid crowd. I usually give my mongering name, number and e-mail for privacy reasons and reports can be viewed online. However, one need to sign HIV consent form at both the laboratories. I have availed services from both the laboratories, found them equally good.

2.) Wherever you're getting tested, ensure that the lab is NABL certified and to have a gap / window-time of at-least 2 weeks after the recent encounter for accuracy of the results. Hepatitis-B & Hepatitis-C tests require longer window-times.

3.) STD panel test doesn't require any special preparation like fasting etc...;

4.) If you want to be really sure and follow the protocol, you can visit / consult any Venereologist, discuss with him / her and get the required tests prescribed as per your requirement.
