I hired Easy Taxi to take me to the Hua Hin area from BKK. Their customer service via Facebook messenger is excellent and they will do (actually prefer to do) a hotel pick up for you and take you to your hotel at the destination. However, the driver was aggressive, reckless and dangerous. I complained about him before the return trip, and the second driver was better until we reached BKK where he drove like the first one. I felt very unsafe with both and will not use Easy Taxi again. Instead I will use the bus.

The purpose of my trip was are&are which I accomplished wonderfully at the Siam Beach Resort Hotel in the ChaAm area north of Hua Hin and just north of the airport. I will stay there again.

I went into Hua Hin one afternoon and was not impressed. I didn't stay very long and didn't attempt to find the bar / mongering section.

I found an established Taxi Company out of Hau Hin on the internet, name has Hau Hin in it but I don't recall specifics, good cars, on time, etc. I think it was around 2000/ about 2 hours one way from Soi 8/ Suk.

Thank you. So I went to the 2nd one from the start of Poon Suk (from the corner of Dechanuchit), it is coloured pink when I check it now on Google Maps, I can't remember what colour it was in real life. And I am happy to report that the girl took me to a real room with walls and had a good time. It had a queen size bed and shower inside, much bigger than any typical massage cubicle.

I am based in Hua Hin now for my 2nd stay of 6 months. I had not heard of a bar fine at the Panama disco. I thought they were all freelancers so it strikes me as a scam cooked up with the girl getting a cut. As for ST and LT rates it of course varies with the girl. Generally I get ST for 1000. If she's one of the hot one's who could be in a BKK agogo she will try for 2000ST but usually take 1500. I don't pay more than 1500 LT, sometimes 1000 and I know of a few expats who graduated from Mr. E's School of Not Paying Too Much. Those guys say they pay 700 or 750 LT. I have been paying 300 for bar fines. I was quoted 500 recently where I payed 300 before. When I asked what happened I got it for 300. I think they are trying for all they can get as they have not emerged from a very slow low season yet.

I am no expert on this region, but in general hookers that work out of any bar, will be subject to a BF, otherwise the bar owner will tell them to go away. They probably also get commissions for selling drinks. Does not make her independent of a BF unless bar is totally legitimate not organising hookers there at all.

I have seen worse. Once chatted to a black girl standing on the street somewhere. She invited to go sit and take a drink. We went to a cart bar near by. Suddenly the bar manager is wanting me to pay a BF, and I had not met the girl at the bar even. Could easily have been a sudden new arrangement between the bar and the girl. Perhaps not but unsure. Anyway "scam" was crossing my mind. I had expected girls affiliated with a bar to be at least sitting there in the bar.

I visited the bars at Soi Binthabat and surrounding sois, arrived Saturday and got lot of attention. The following nights less. Hmmm, don't know if this was for Saturday night being busier or me being a new face. BF is mostly 300 bht but at some places told me 500 bht for BF. Usually paid 1500 bht ST and 2000 bht LT which seems reasonable to me. To my surprise at Deep Bar, a Lady when asked how much she expects, told me 3000 bht. She did not answer my question if this is for LT. A little later her drunk friend told me that they only go for 3000 bht ST or 4000 bht LT. Sooo, I told her, you have your standards I have mine. She itreated hers again and again telling me that she knows I have that kind of money and other guys pay that much. I didn't even negotiated because we obviously did not were at the same page and only stayed because I was invited by the very friendly owner for a free drink and did not wnt to be impolite.

Took it easy today, and after a few false alerts from FL girls on Tinder I didn't get out to mongering until early evening.

Walked around Binternaht, and had a nice chat with a massage girl hanging out front of her place just off Poon Suk, the name of which was in Thai.

1000 baht for a good massage and BBBJ with CIM that totally rocked my world.

Conclusion: Nice place for a few days, not more. It's pretty chilled here which is great, but it's very quiet and all the locals and girls are complaining about not enough tourism, not enough work, so there a little bit of a desperate feel to this place which kinda freaked me out, maybe just had an off night.

There are some hot girls, but you have to wade through a lot of average late 30's /40's milfs to find the gems, but it's cheap, with ST for 1000 the going rate, LT possible for around 1500 I would think.

Arrived in Hua Hin today by bus direct from Bangkok BKK Airport. I have 2 days off here before beading to BKK for the weekend.

I'm staying in a hotel more or less in the thick of it, in between the infamous Soi 80 and Soi Bintabaht. Logged into Tinder and pretty much straight away started getting matches, mainly FL, but a few civilians also.
