Here now. Found a couple of places in gueliz. Best way to describe location is that behind the Radisson hotel there is a back street. In a way head down the hill IE away from macdonalds which is at the next mall up. Cross a road or two and you will see on your left hand side a place called Hongxian. Just after that is a Thai massage place. If you get to a small Thai restaurant on your right hand side you have gone too far.

Also take away alcohol. Find the ambassaduer hotel. On the side street that side walk along it. The are after a couple of hundred metres past the Bombay bar resto 4 shops selling.

Have fun.

Also saw that the Spanish bar resto lauberge espana or similar name has some freelancers hanging around at the bar. Its a very busy place.

In the day time try the cafes near Eden plaza. There are girls available. You have to be discreet. Write your Morocco number on a small piece of paper and keep with you. The game in the cafes is really discreet and you have to befriend the waiting staff. Go there a couple of times and top thew nicely. I was planning a trip to Agadir so RTFF inside out. Armed with enough details booked a return flight out of Paris Orly. Next step girl friendly apartment. Hi RBond, having just come back from Marrakech I can give you a couple of pointers. The apartment I stayed in was found on housetrip, it's in Gueliz and specifies no guard or concierge in the title. Cleanliness was a bit lacking though, but it's the only place I can confidently confirm is safe, the same person owns the building and most of the people staying there are tourists. It looks like it's not available for the entire 10 days you specified but if you like I can send you the owners phone number.

For meeting ladies, I found So Lounge and 555 were good spots, So Lounge has free entry if you arrive early enough (I think betfore 1 am) but it won't be busy until 2 am. 555 is a bit far out of the city, but drinks are cheaper than So Lounge, again won't get busy till 2 am. For nightclubs though, the best looking girls will ask for 3000 dirhams.

In the late evening (9 pm till the clubs open) your best options are the bars around the Plaza and Hivernage.

In the daytime (4 pm - 9 pm) I'd suggest looking around mcdonalds and the nearby cafes at the Plaza.

Another daytime option are the hammams. Rumour has is that pretty much all hammams around Gueliz and Jemah al Fna will do a happy ending if you offer a sufficient tip, but you can't pick the girl you want and some of them only have old, fat women. One place I can suggest is called Jasmines, two of the girls here were good looking, the other two not so much, it's found in one of the alleys near Jemah al Fna. To find it start by facing the main square with your back to the street where the horse and carts are. Walk around the right hand side, past some stalls selling fruit juice, BEFORE you get to the end turn right, you should be on a street with a shop that sells washing machines and a restaurant called LE Salama. Walk down the street, keep on eye on your right. You'll pass an alley with a sign for Koutoubia hammam (place had a couple of pretty girls last I was there and hand jobs were available, but this was a few yrs ago), you'll pass another alley with a sign for medina spa, walk a little further and you should see Jasmines on your right. By now a number of people will have offered to take you to a hammam, as well as tried to sell your various things best not mentioned here. Some of these guys work with Jasmines so if you have trouble finding it they should be able to help you out. Expect to pay around 300-400 dirhams on top of the cost of the hammam package you go for.

Mr Bond or should I just call you 007. . The below posts give a pretty accurate rundown on tanger. Its not such a big place and places are concentrated to the beachside of the city. Unless you want to hit shisha bars.

Speaking french or Arabic is a great help. I speak neither of those but I get by OK. Spanish can also help a lot in tanger. (Moroccan Arabic must be different somewhat) - to the extent that Egyptians I know speak English to the Moroccans. Seems odd but that's how they communicate.

Tanger, Being a small place you won't need a wingman but I understand the extra support it can bring if something goes wrong. Now Casablanca and Marrakesh are different stories.

The easiest way around the issue is book two rooms. Be aware that if the apt has security, like doormen and virtually all do at the door or if in villas at the gate, if they think something untoward is happening, I am told that they are duty bound to call the police. My building even has the legal extracts of the punishments for being with a woman in the same room if not married and for prostitution in framed extracts. Its in french but hmm. Food for thought.

There are places to go and the girls also know as well but usually if you book a room for the girl she can get in. Its a very common ploy in a hotel and the hotels play the $$$ game well.

If you can give me the rough location of your hotel in tanger I can tell you what's around it. A close-by landmark or shop is OK. I don't need nor want your hotel name in a public forum.
