These are some things I have tried -.

1. Get a tourist SIM in places like Dubai, Bangkok, Colombo, etc. These are usually valid for30 - 90 days. Set your whatsapp, etc to use it and communicate with that number only. Have a different mobile phone for this, I would not advise this as SIM2 on your regular phone.

2. If you use Skype, get a Skype number (you can choose the country). I learned from a WG in Dubai that many of them do this. They have the same number in any country they visit. One downside of this is that the number is sometimes recognized as a landline number and some Apps do not let you use that for mobile# login.

I have found having a different country number for mongering is safer than a second number from India for the reasons you mentioned.

How do you guys handle mongering sim?

I don't have one and I am planning to buy. But my doubt is, how are we safe even with mongering sim as we give our ID proofs when buying that sim too?

Any time, it can be tracked back to us by any SPs or Indies or anyone who provides service.

Or is it just that, we don't provide that number to anyone else and use it only for mongering and just throw it off if family or anyone close gets any small doubt about us?

Please throw some light on ensuring my safety.

P.S: I have only gone to MPs till now and I have already used my primary sim there. I don't want to do that anymore and explore more. So please help madi.
