Yes the Juan de la Rica location is true. I was there but I lucked out with a beautiful girl from a different part of Bolivia called Beni. She was very nice and quite luscious. Offered me 250 bob for 1 HR.

There are also a few locations on 1620 Calle Potosi. Walk in the apt complex and first door on your right in the corner is a well placed mini brothel. The same bldg walk up to the 4th floor and first door on right is another one. 150 for 30 min 250 for 60.

Long time monger, first time poster.

I'm headed to La Paz in a few weeks and wanted to know which is better for some fun.

The city or El Alto.

I am from Bolivia but haven't been in 20 years. I have cousins who know some spots and I'll gladly share soon but if you guys have suggestions I'm all ears.

Again man, no disrespect. In most cities, the maps are very helpful. The Santa Cruz one here in Bolivia is legit; I used it earlier in the week.

I think the La Paz one should be re-created from scratch to be honest. But since you requested it, I'll do my best:

- The cluster on Avenue America is non-existent. Clubs 50-51-52, Club Dragon Rojo, Clubs 50-54, Club Zeus, etc, do not exist. No SWs in the area when we went by.

- The cluster on Figueroa: we found a couple of low-quality casas at #647. We scoured the area during the day and didn't see most of them as marked. I don't have the names, sorry. Prices on the map are generally accurate. There appeared to be a night club, but it wasn't open when we went by.

- The casas around Plaza San Francisco are not there. Cafe Arte Fantasy (also called Pomba Gira), Gatitas VIP, Olimpo, El Encanto de Sirenas II, etc, do not exist.

- The cluster on Avenida 20 de Octubre in Sopocachi is non-existent. Top Model, Esmeralda Club, Dulce Miel, El Ejecutivo, Kansas, etc, do not exist.

In El Alto, we confirmed that the general area most marked on the current map is still Zona Roja. We found a couple of casas on the same block as Club Privado Penelope and Acapulco. Unmarked and we didn't note the names, apologies. Club Privado Penelope might have the same name. Acapulco or thereabouts was something else. On the same street, Al Rojo Vivo and Mujer Secreta were not there. Nearby, on Raul Salmon, we did not find Gatubela's, Te Amo, Njnfas, El Beso de la Sirena, etc. This is way out of bounds for tourists, and the ones we went into were low, low, low quality. I'm sure there are others in the neighborhood.

(Obviously, my friend and I could've missed one or two that are hidden. But I'm fairly certain the vast majority of the places on the map no longer exist).

We checked out a few others scattered around the city, but I can't remember exactly which those were. We may have simply missed a new area with a bunch of clustered clubs / casas, but we found nothing like that. We don't have any local guides to assist, so I'll reserve judgement.

Please check out my last post for the two decent-quality casas we did find. We went back last night, and I sessioned again, and it was an okay experience. Nothing to write home about compared to a good mongering city, or even Santa Cruz for that matter, which seems to have a much more developed scene.

Let me know if you'd like any additional info, and I'll do my best to help. Going to head back to Santa Cruz tomorrow, and if we hit up any casas / clubs, I'll continue to send updates in that forum.

Pretty easy to find. Three or four girls each, decent looking and eager to please. I sessioned at the one on the second floor (Oficina 1) and it was 250 be for an hour (150 be for half an hour). Going to head back there tonight.

The independent escorts I found online have been generally responsive, too. Going to try to hook that up for tomorrow (Sunday).

This is a common issue, BTW, in virtually any Latin American country. Often they will not take any currency that has a tear in it, writing on it, has been taped, etc. So if you change or pay with USD, the bills need to be in pretty good shape or the casa de cambio, bank or merchant may not accept it.

That means that you need to examine your change when you receive it. Look at the bills (in local currency) you receive as change. If a bill has a tear etc, the you are perfectly within your rights to ask the merchant to give you another bill.

Since Figueroa is not a place for gringos and the girls there are not like western look a like or the kind of girl a gringo would be looking at.

Here in Bolivia there are white girls but they are very western, so they don't get so suprised by gringos, almost like argentinas.

Another American was on the plane and we talked about the visa thing. He wasn't exactly prepared. I don't know if he had the $160 US Dollars in cash or not. Anyways, if you are needing a visa then you can get it at the airport. For immigration there are lines for locals and I think also the surrounding countries, and then a line for other foreigners, and it is not marked well, but you need to go all the way to the right for the line for applying for a visa. Only the immigration guy on the right can make your visa. It didn't take long and you need to pay $160 US in cash. He didn't want to take one of my $20 bills because it has a very small tear. So bring some US cash in good shape. He gave me a folder with my passport and papers and then I went to the immigration officer right next to him, and he did the passport thing and let me in the country with no problems..

The altitude and cold weather and sometimes rain made me tired and lazy as shit. I walked around a little the first day, and got some food and snacks to bring back to my Airbnb. Now honestly the second day I did not even leave my apartment. I didn't want to get out of bed. I finally got out of bed at like 6 PM to eat food that I had in the apartment and do some internet things. The next day I got tired just walking a few blocks and bought some meds that might help me...
