I don't get it. My posts have been complemented on other boards. This board seems to be a lot about steak houses, how things suck now compared to 30+ years ago, and attacking an open and honest poster who is an experienced monger, even if this is his first trip to Thailand.

Let me help you for your next trip, as I was also there at Thermae Friday night at 9 and I stayed till about 11. First of all sodas are 70 baht and 90 baht. They always give change. You merely need wait for it. The little guy wasn't yelling at you to buy a drink, that's what they do, they stand there and tell everybody to buy a drink. Now I do recall a large farang there but I can assure you he wasn't being waved at. Because the girls don't usually wave. In fact, I've been in term a probably 30 times plus this year and I have never seen a girl wave. The only blondes in the place on Friday night that I saw was the ugly old Mamasan with the troll face and the hot but sour attitude chick from the south of Thailand who stands in the same place everyday who I have seen there innumerable times. She always ask for 3000. I sincerely doubt she was begging you to take her but why don't you tell me where she was standing and we can see if we're talking about the same young lady. If we are, and you didn't take her, you didn't miss much. But now that I think about it, there was a second blond in there Friday night, and the blond I am referring to had already been taken. The second blonde is a semi-regular and I do recall her talking to some large guy wearing like lime green, socks and sandals. But she's nowhere close to 30 in fact, neither of these two blonde girls are.

You have most of your facts wrong, and you are extremely negative. I have reported truthfully to give back to the board. No, I wasn't in lime green wearing socks and sandals. Yes, some of the girls gave me come hither hand movements. Yes, there was a pretty 30 something slim blond with big bazoobies that was adamant about me taking her home. I have no reason to make this shit up. If you and the other nattering nabobs of negativity want to attack an open and honest report, give it hell. I probably just won't share anymore. Is that your goal? And your comments about the tuk tuk scram and driver totally make it look like you didn't even read what I posted. Yes, the tuk tuk drivers tried to scam me. The car driver did not. He misunderstood me and took me where I wanted to go. I didn't just fall off the tater truck. I have travelled in many third world countries and have learned the hard way when I am being hustled and when I am not. I got hustled some on this trip. A lot of what you are saying I got duped on, well, whatever.

If you want open and honest sharing of information and experiences on this board, you need to rethink your negative reaction to what you see. If not, keep up the trend. Pretty soon no one will want to risk the wrath of Nyezov and the board will be poorer for that.

I suggest you either read my posts closer or examine your tendency to look for negative issues to make yourself look better than others.

I would say right just after alley that led to Annies and Rajah, now has Hillary 1?, is a typical spot. These girls usually have light skin and may not look exactly Thai. Opposite the little Soi with ST Hotel Di Place.

I unfortunately booked a crap hotel on soi 7 (soi go pee pee) but in doing so saw that a mini complex of of about 15 new girly bars being constructed right now. Its right off Sukumvit and before the beer garden. Only one open as of yesterday staffed by 3 grandmas but hopefully when this mini complex is complete they get some fresh talent. In the days of tear anything down remotely good to build a shit condo this could be some rare good news. And on the far side of the street are multiple pop up bar stands with some street food, late career Thai hos and a few hot Africans to entertain you while watching the paint dry on the the new girly bars.

There is a short term hotel inside Nana Plaza. All the go go girls know about obviously. I am guessing many SW / freelancers also know where the ST motels are. I wouldn't worry about it; of course if do a search here you might find more info on specific hotels.

The only soapy massage parlor in that area that I know of was Annie's, which closed about a year ago. Have no idea what scam he was trying to pull by wanting to take you there unless it was to act surprised it was closed and then take you to Cupidy or one of the other soapies that give 500 baht kickbacks to taxi drives who bring in chumps to get fleeced. You may want to dump Wittiya. He is a scammer.

Asked Wittiya to take me to a very large gem and craft shop I found Tuesday near the Jim Thompson house. He misunderstood and took me to a very large gem and jewelry emporium out near Dusit. You can watch the craftsmen making jewelry and spend a lot of money on it in the next ritzy room. I got Wittiya to take me to the place I really wanted and bought carved elephants and elephant charm bracelets for everyone back home. Sometimes you have to be insistent on where you want to go, these drivers either think they know what you want better than you do, or they are getting kick-backs to take you to certain places. Wittiya wasn't the worst, but he had his moments.

Pat pong is known for it's weird ping pong shows in shady alleys, where there's a good chance you will be ripped by the bill. You can see the ping pong show at cowboy Suzie wong bar. Vibe is much better, beers amd lady drinks are fare price 220 b. Though they don't do it sword stuff for sure.

What a place! It is in the basement of the Raumchitt Plaza hotel, about 20 X 30 meters. There is a front entrance off Sukhumvit and a back entrance off Soi 15. There was a little man yelling at me to buy a drink before I circulated. Soda was 80 baht, but they wouldn't give me change for my 100. There must have been 200+ women there and a lot of men, about 65/35 W-M ratio.

Thermae is an unusual place. I like it because I can get some really good looking girls from here and I hate it because of the too-crowdy vibe. Sometimes it's even hard to move here.

Also, not wanting to take you to Thermae because knowing Thermae there is no way and no need for them to provide incentives to taxi / tuk tuk drivers to bring customers.
