Posts: 583Some covid notes I jotted down
Went down last weekend for a non-monger mission. Drop off a vehicle with an ex-pat living on Mex side then take Greyhound home. Here are some observations:
-Bridge/border officials on both sides wore masks but didn't ask any Covid related questions, let me pass thru like any other day.
-Driving Tex into Mex- Bridge 2 closed, all vehicles that made the mistake of weaving toward Outlet Shoppes are kicked back must weave back toward IH-35 and enter Mex thru Bridge 1.
-Walking Mex back into Tex-Border Patrol's nice fancy building at Bridge 2 is tentatively closed. Two Vehicle lanes/booths have been temporarily converted into 4 pedestrian lines. Appears like the far right lane moved the slowest. No cover during clear skies, suggest wearing sunscreen.
-Only sectors heavily looking out for virus are retail and restaurants, a door person points temperature sensor at your forehead, gives you a dab of hand sanitizer. Eateries at 50% of normal seating, a few have tables topped with clear plastic mat easy to clean and has menu under clear mat to read off of without touching.
-At night, 1 in 15 people wore masks, but at day time maybe 10-12 out of 15 people wore masks.
-Think I saw working girls hanging around Guerrero near Emiliano's.
-Seedier off brand Motel Nuevo Leon seemed to be operating normally.
-Bus ride back towards San Antonio/Dallas, at Mile 29 inspection in past rides, agents would board the Greyhound, move front to back. This time, they had all passengers exit bus and stand outside awkwardly 6 feet apart on a grass knoll, one by one show them our ID's then each rider gets directed back onto bus.
Am going back down next Saturday morning to pick up said car. Am tempted to make trip down to Monterrey but unsure if hotels and monger options are available (doubtful).

When it comes to non working girls, do you think girls from Nuevo Laredo are more down to earth than the ones from Laredo, TX. I have been swiping in tinder and am coming to the conclusion that crossing the border into Nuevo Laredo would be worth it to meet tinder girls. In general, I think Laredo girls are more friendly than girls in San Antonio. But I think that many of the Laredo girls have unfortunately become too Americanized in comparison to the girls in Nuevo Laredo. When Nuevo Laredo is only a bridge away, I am thinking that it would be worth going there if I could find a trust worthy dating parter.

Dramafree, have you still been having to prove to USA border patrol that you were in Mexico due to essential travel or was that only something you had to prove to officials and / or hotels on the Mexican side?

Posts: 812I think it was 2002 I started the NLBTA, I met a lot of the members as KosherCowboy, Borderbanger and I made a lot of weekend trips to boys town back then. Those were the days. This board was in the process of being revamped about then. I think Jackson had just acquired it as it had sat dormant for a while. Yes I have been at this for a long time, of course I still get told how things work by some of the internet warriors LOL. On a Saturday night there were probably 300-500 girls in Boys Town. Not sure how close that number is but I can just think of all the bars open and with the door girls I am sure that is right on the money.
Wish I would have never deleted that group. It became saturated with smart asses so I dumped it and tried to make a private group but it never caught on. I remember many of the girls from those days.
