The stuff that you mentioned above sounds like a classic scam. But the whole gigolo thing is very much real and active in Bangalore. Couple of years ago I took a shot at this by posting an ad on MR. In a span of 6 months I got around 4 inquiries and went through with two of them. Honestly it was not enjoyable as in both cases the women were playing to some weird fantasies of their husbands. Wisely chose to delete the profile and get back to normal mongering.

Thanks to the skewed gender ratio and cultural bias, women in our subcontinent (no offense or discrimination meant) don't need any app to find a date or relationship. Smartphones just made it so much easier for them to get paid and laid.
