I wear a mask when out in public. In the US or DR. And I stay away from crowds.
I just can't stay away from those beautiful Latinas LOL.

Yes, the US State Department has the DR as a level 4, "do not travel to" Alert.
My last trip In September, I primarily stayed at the hotel, had fun and returned. On my way into SDQ I stood in front of an IR scanner checking temperature and they waved me on after 5 seconds. On my return to MIA, no check at all except walking through customs.
Travel, have fun, be safe.

Because, compare Greece with Ecuador as. Level 3: COVID-19 Risk Is High. Countries. And that's impossible. Greece right now has a very low-medium rate of the virus. Not as high as Ecuador.
DR is going better as I see in the news:

If you take a look to Ecuador news. You will see the difference.

After my morning walk on el Conde hit the coconut water place on Conde for my natural smoothie. Sliced apples, sliced mango and coconut water for 175 pesos. Posted up at the park on Conde to drink my smoothie and people watch. I noticed this beautiful girl that looked like Alicia Keys with another girl and a dude who appeared to be cleaning the park. What drew my attention other than her looks was that she had a very expensive professional camera on her back strap. They had plastic zip lock baggies with number written on them. I asked the pretty girl in Spanish what they were doing and she explained in perfect English. She was a college student studying to be a veterinarian. They were collecting pigeon poop and had 384 samples from all over the city. They were looking for parasites in the pigeon poop. She was so nice and beautiful I tried to be slick and said, I guess your boyfriend must come second to the animals and she said yes and the other guy was her fiancé. Damn, she said she had 11 pets at home which included dogs, cats and birds. The other girl looked like Venus Williams and was now in play. Venus didn't have the enthusiasm for the poop collection as did Alicia keys. Surprisingly Alicia asked me if I was single because Venus was shy, so I gave Venus my number.
Later while sitting at the office (cigar bar at the park) with the fellas the gossip was about the working girls passing by and hanging out. Every 20 minutes the same ten girls would pass by and a few would sit on the benches trying to catch our eyes. Most were hardcore and nothing above a 6. They would ask a tourist for 5 k then when he would walk off they would ask him what he wanted to pay. One caught my attention because she wasn't grouped up and was a solid 8. I wasn't going to approach her with all the guys around and have my name in the expat gossip so I made my move after she walked off. Acting like I had an important phone call I walked off 50 feet behind her and did my final approach after we turned the corner. It's a spot on the girls stroll that's a park around the corner from the park, so I asked her if she wanted a water to do my interview. We sat on the bench and I was very impressed. Pretty toes painted red, nicely dressed, calm demeanor, and patient. She wanted 3 k but I think she could have been had for 2 k-2. 5 k. I explained my situation clearly; I have a girlfriend and I don't want problems at my home. We exchanged numbers and I told her I will hit her later.
I went back to the party at the office and my no 2 from San Christobal hit me wanting to spend the night but I wanted to sleep alone after spending the last 3 nights with my main lady. She hung up on me pissed. Hit a couple places for the drink specials and plotted on my nighttime plan with the 9 pm curfew slowly approaching.
If you go to the park earlier in the day here are a few secrets. Girls come from the surrounding towns to the big city looking for jobs and el Conde is the spot with many businesses. You will know them because they will be nicely dressed with a briefcase or pad and pen. They will look lost and protective. They won't talk to you unless you speak at least basic Spanish, they sit at the park at the outer benches trying to hide. They are not there to fuck but if you have confidence and game you can find a gem. That's how I met my no 2 from San Christbal. She was looking for a job and we exchanged numbers because I told her I will talk to a couple business owners on her behalf. She has 4 kids, lives with her mom and is in a relationship with a guy who lives with another girl in her small town. I'm her escape from her miserable life. She wants more out of our relationship but I can't offer more, oh well.

Today I'm doing my usual two hour walk on el Conde in the morning when one of the expats stopped me after my workout and said it's a festival going on just north of el Conde. We decided to go and it was nice, even got to meet the police chief Mr Sosa, cool dude. After the festival we went to the monger / expat office, the cigar shop by the park. One expat had his JBL portable speaker playing old school r&b then some jazz. Lovely spot to post up. Girls parading through, events like quinceras, people taking pictures with the pigeons, groups riding bikes and an old school painter in front of el Conde restaurant. The curfew is extended till 9 pm so this is the first time I've been out at nighttime.
My lady and son were at my apartment so I needed to get home but the party wasn't over. I mentioned to a friend at the cigar shop that I was going home and I had some Leyenda Brugal at the house and off we went. We saw another expat in front of National and invited him also. We sat on my huge balcony overlooking Zona Colonial and sipped on the liquor after my girl brought three glassed out, a bowl of ice and sliced lemons. Boney James played on my Sirius radio tv channel. The expats spent the next hour arguing about who has the worst Spanish LOL. I'm laughing because they both feel they are right and never admit when they aren't, funny shit, but I call it wasted energy. My girl came out with three plates of grilled chicken strips, French fries and tossed salad. I didn't even know she was cooking. We ate and the Fellas left at 9:15 pm not even worried about violating the curfew.
Anyone visiting Santo Domingo and wants to have a drink with the old city in the background hit me up. I just ask that you don't have insecurities about critics on an anonymous chat board. I'm a positive dude so let's appreciate the good things.
BTW, good meeting you Mr darkness.
