I would also say, again my focus on reporting the incident (with no identifying details) was to discourage the type of behavior the guy has been (perhaps falsely) accused of.

Posts: 247I met another young shy woman on seeking chat. She wants someone to take her on a date, and then she'll make up her mind if she wants to get intimite.
She doesn't have the personality nor the looks to impose conditions, but she expects to get paid to go get pizza, and then she will still have the option to turn him down, after he already made an investment.
She should think things through before asking. I told her come to the bakery 5 minutes away from my place ( she can travel across the city, not me) buy yourself a juice and if you want to be my friend you can do that. of course she's paying her own taxi and her own juice. Duuumbooo.
Ahhh let the silly women be silly women.

It's been brought to my attention the story may not be true. However, the moral of the story is valid. If you decide to beat up a hooker, bad things may come your way and your only hope is that the trouble comes wearing badges.

Hey there! I've read a lot but still need a little info before I book a flight! Ha! I'm 40 why. O white guy looking to monger safely.
I don't speak Spanish. Does Colombia become a no-go without the language?
How dangerous is Medellin? I've been in many many countries but S. America seems a different beast! Is it possible to walk around during the day, maybe visit a casa, and have a 99% chance of getting home safe?
Are Colombian girls a little kinkier than most? Maybe a little BDSM. A little face-fucking. Is this possible here?
Is it safe enough to travel around the country? I'd love to take a bus over to the coast, maybe head over the border North. Am I going to have a problem?
What do girls think about taking videos / photos? No problem?
How much do I need to check for scammers? Is it likely to find a 'good girl' on FB or Tinder or whatever, without having to screen them a lot?
Looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait to get involved!

I just tried using my Schwab card at Banco Pichincha and it reported transaction not allowed. So far, it has not taken money from my account. I will try a couple of other banks later today and report whether success / failure.

I think anytime an American violates the law in a Foreign Country where a police report is filed, and it's a very violent act that results in a person going to the hospital, the local newspaper would pickup that story.
Thanks,

No place is dangerous, until suddenly it is.
Going to walk around El Centro after midnight, with nothing to steal sounds like a good idea, if you're wanting to rate the Colombian healthcare system. You may need to rate it posthumously.
The flaw in your plan is the thieves don't know whether you have nothing to steal, or you're not giving them what they want. However, since you're obviously not a resident of El Centro, it seems unlikely they'll believe you have nothing. From about every report I've heard, including one from a girl I know in Milagro, when people refuse to give money, they get stabbed or shot.
As for the police, after about 9, they become scarce in El Centro.
Let us know how your experiment works out, or we can read about it elsewhere.
