I think the discussion here is a little different. Most what we are discussing here are from members who have been in the area practically all day for a long period of time. It is not like that they stay away from downtown and warn others not to come. I think the definition of downtown is far smaller for new members than experienced members so the viewpoint is also somewhat different.
It may not happen to you, but if it happens to you just once, I think you are going to change your opinion very quickly. That may be the difference of opinion between people never experience it and people who have experienced it.

Hello. Are you available? I want to see you. How much do you want? I pay (whatever price you want). Is that okay? Yes I will give you 20 k for a taxi. Can you be here in 1 hour? Okay. I will see you in 2 hours.
(Hola. Ests disponible? Quiero verte. Cuanto quieres por un rato? Siempre pago (whatever). Est bien? S te dar 20 mil mas por un taxi. Puedes llegar ac en una hora? Claro. Entonces te ver en 2 horas.).
She'll show up, probably want to use the bathroom to freshen up, might come out in lingerie or just underwear. In less than 15 minutes she will be doing what you want. If she's enjoying your company she'll still be doing what you want 2 or 3 hours later. When she's done, give her the money and walk her to the door.
Tomorrow she'll send pictures of her friend and ask if you want a trio.
He summed up the entire knowledge base succinctly. Took me a couple of years to figure it out.

I know a few Medellin girls who went to Mexico. They went to "work" there. They mostly see Mexican men. Apparently, the pay is better. They get moved to different cities. I know of a girl stuck in Mexico after the covid shutdown, but was able to return after the Colombian government allowed their citizens bank in.

Badoo didn't work at all. Few matches and girls most interested in something real than sex. The only real interesting contact I had it's not in Medellin. Waste of time. In Facebook, in a couple of hours I connected with 15 girls. I added a lot of girls, so I suppose by tomorrow I might have 50 contacts. Many are hot girls, some really hot. I started from a plastic surgeon page, then once I got friend with an hot chica, I added her girlfriends. I contacted one for test (not hot and in her 30), offered 50 for 2 hours and she asked for 100, oral natural. It looks way too much. I got a deal with a girl I met en el centro which I fucked today: 140 for the entire day. I would define this girl 7.5.
Usually what do you offer for 8, 9, 10 levels?
I wouldn't ask for a 7, because you can find a 7 en el centro. You need to search very well, do a test drive, and eventually make the offer.
I usually offer 300k to 350k COP for all night. Keep me updated on how it goes. When are you going by the way?

Prado, especially around the metro station, is the area that makes me more nervous than any other in Medellin. I actively avoid it. It is really easy to get hemmed in there with no way to escape. When I pass through on foot I keep moving at a brisk pace and always keep a building at my side. I can't ever remember moving through there at night on foot. In fact taxi and uber drivers usually detour to avoid it at night so they don't have to stop at a traffic light. That's when the stick up boys on motorcycles or guys off the street run up on you.

In such a case, I would not resist and I would let them take anything they find.
Note that people around did not do anything, just commented "ladrones..."
I have seen a poor man with backpack assaulted by a swarm of a dozen street kids. They took everything even the shoes in 30 seconds.

I don't know about being robbed on Avenida 70

I have been walking en el centro for hours and no one touched me. And I'm planning to go after midnight, with just enough money for the taxi, if not any, without my phone, so they will have nothing to rob.
I want to see if it's so dangerous like people say, because I'm sure it's not. They do rob, for sure, but if you don't have anything to rob, they will not rob you anything. During the day there is a LOT of police, and I have spoken with a policeman who told me they are there the entire night. Of course the night is much worse en El Centro, but it's not the Far West.
To be robbed on La 70 you must be dumb, really. There are places in Italy, and not even in the South, much more dangerous than La 70. I never felt unsafe, and I have been walking at 2 AM in the night. I went to la Mayorista at 1 AM.
I think some of you are paranoid, like the one saying you shouldn't give your phone number. LOL, to a Colombian chica. Fact is, you don't know what you are talking about.
But I will tell you what I saw there. I was walking with Novia #2 (Maid Service) in the heart of Avenida 70, closer to the University that the Metro Station. I became aware of someone sprinting and approaching from an angle over my left shoulder, street side. What happened next was amazing. Two other guys swooped in at a full sprint, one guy knocked him down with a flying kick and then with perfect accuracy did a side kick to his head while he down, bounced his head off the concrete and knocked him out instantly. At most we were ten feet away and there no one else near. As soon as the guy was down and out, the other two guys sprinted off, from start to finish not more than ten seconds. I am sure all of them were teenagers. The downed guy had on a back pack but his attackers were not interested. Everyone I spoke to said that was an "unusual" incident for that area. My dominant thought then and now was how skillful the little dude was who took him down. Two kicks, one on a full run, the second with pinpoint accuracy. Game over.

I might not know right from wrong but I do know 30 K is all anyone has to pay in Centro. If you 50 K number includes a hotel room then I'm with you. I've been to a Centro casa or two; I can't think of any that are north of 55 K on the high side for half an hour.

Pollo Negro is out!

I don't have your expertise I assume. Here is what I know. A couple of months ago I needed to send an online purchase to a relative's house. I could not remember her address and I could not reach her by phone in time to place the order soon enough to get a promotional price. I used her mobile phone number to look up her postal address on the Internet. It took five to ten minutes. I am neither law enforcement nor an operator (I assume you mean ISP or telecommunications carrier by that). If it were my imagination rather than what really happened then you would be correct.
To be fair, my relative leads a plain vanilla straight arrow life. She has no reason to take the very basic personal privacy steps to prevent me doing what I was able to do. Others who may have reason to secure that sort of information don't always bother to do it or know how to do it.

Unless you are working for an operator and you have special access, or you are the police (and not all the policemen), you can't track a number. Then, just to clarify, is not really triangulation, because they don't need to use the GPS to locate you, they use the cell your phone is connected, and they know, more or less, where you are. They know the area, and that's it, they can't track exactly your position like with the GPS. If someone steal my phone I can't trace it, unless they shut it down. And I can erase the content remotely as soon the phone is connected to the Internet.

That is a fair question. You can add these destinations to the list: Curacao, St. Maarten, Aruba, Spain.

Other security considerations you may think of. Assume you are made of glass and even the little shatter will break you. Assume there isn't any law, but a thin veil around you to fool you into thinking law can help you. And also know, when bad folks shoot they don't usually miss. It costs about 300-500 K to borrow a weapon, and 2 mln to buy, and there are actually tens of thousands illegal arms in the city.

Security
I will post the link to a security guide. It's in Spanish but worth of effort to read. https://www.policia.gov.co/sites/def...proteccion.pdf Since most of the debates here are about the central area of the city, I would suggest to avoid Sundays, morning and evening peak time hours, and leave before the evening rush hour.
