I've looked into different options for covid testing before flying back to the states. At the Medellin airport you can get tested without an appointment, and for rapid antigen test the results are 20-40 minutes. Can anyone confirm that a negative antigen test within 48 hours of departure is accepted for AA flights back to US? Am I confused, or do you not need to wait in a longer PCR test?

I don't know what in sympatico means, but if you are in that much sympatico she would not be charging you to take her on a vacation. If you are taking them on a trip, I personally don't give them anything else. The vacation, free hotel, flight, food, booze, everything else should be more than enough compensation in my opinion.
