Yes, I call it the 1%. Jajaja. So much has happened that I gave up on any continuity to the story line about my relocating to Medellin. I went to the Mountain where Cat Girl was reared and where we are also building a casa and it was an amazing cross cultural experience that I loved and will never forget. Long time lurker and budding hobbyist.

I see a lot of you guys on here mention FB or SA, do you guys have any advice for a newbie in this area or wanting to get into the hobby internationally? I think Hotel Mairuba is cleaner and is cheaper. I think it is 12,000 COP for 1 hour but we will round up to 15,000 COP to be safe. It is right around the corner from where she stands. Seriously, a 20 second walk. I saw her during the lock down but never took her. She was one of the few that wanted 50 versus the normal 30. Struck me as a red flag. This is the second posting this as the previous post went into Cyber Space.

I was walking to the bus from Villa Mimosa in Rio about 2005 at about 1 am. Three teenage thugs stopped me and wanted money. Aw sh- I threw the wad of bills in kept in my shirt pocket into the air and ran. They forgot all about me and scrambled for about $20 USD in Brazilian Reals and about $5 in Mexican pesos.

Also I usually took a cab but they seldom came back into the Villa. I usually walked around with a chicken on a stick stick pointing down in my right hand. Now days if I feel danger I walk the other way in the middle of the street and hail a cab. I do a lot fewer dumb things as I approach 75.
