Posts: 3802Withdrawal Limit Clarification
The actual limits allowed are three withdrawals of 900,000 COP for a total of 2. 7 million pesos per day for non-Scotia / Colpatria ATM card holders, and 4. 5 million pesos per day for Sotia / Colpatria ATM card holders. This is what is posted on the ATM machines and what I typically do is pull out 5.4 million pesos at a time, but that is using two different ATM cards from Wells Fargo and Bank of America. My advice to anyone coming to Colombia is to always bring two ATM cards with you if you have them. I remember before the Pandemic when the exchange rate was over 4,200 Pesos to the USD, and I was withdrawing over 5 million pesos a day and depositing into my BanColombia account, it's currently around 3,600 as of today.

Posts: 1643Hey! There are entire on line business in Medellin that specialize in furnishing
Apartments and homes including appliances, and they deliver within a day. You have to pick out what you want on line, maybe there are showrooms, IDK. This is what I was going to do when I had an apartment picked out for Catgirl and me, but we changed our focus to the casa en la Montana. Wish I could be more specific, mi novia was in charge of that, I was just supplying the bankroll, jajaja. I will Whassap her for the link and PM it to you if she comes through. I am in the states. I feel your enthusiasm and excitement and I think you have a great plan.

Posts: 1157If you go to a Scotiabank / Colpatria ATM, you can withdraw 4.5 million pesos in one day. You will have to ask Schwab to raise your daily limit since the default limit is $1,000, but you can get 3.6 million pesos without raising your daily limit.

Posts: 315Thanks for the advice. I was kinda torn btwn the 2 apts. I've decided to go with 28th floor apt. It's brand new, no previous owner, move-in ready in less than a month with the paperwork and removal of all the decorative furniture and appliances. I asked if I can buy it as is, all furnished, and pay more. Too bad it was a No haha. Furnishing the place is going to be hard work because I have no experience nor interest in terms of interior design / decorations and shit. My house back in the States is plain and dull as fuck. I guess it's first world problems. I got to come up with 3 million pesos in cash by Monday to put down an initial deposit. I'm drawing cash out my Schwab like a thief that hit a jackpot.
BTW, I missed seeing old gringos, so I hit up the Mansion's Pool Party last night. The more things change, the more they stay the same. If anyone interested in my experience last night, lmk. Too lazy to write right now.
Quick edit: Just found out Mansion got raided by police last night, 10 minutes after I bounced, which was about 8:30pm.

I don't know why as I would thought that the chicas would be out in force seeing that the Thursday night weekend lock-down would get them out on the streets to earn some money but no.
Well at least my go-to chic was available so busted a nut and left centro, lots of traffic on the roads late afternoon. Today I am planning to have a local over.
Much love and respect to all!

Excellent point you make as all west facing apartments will have direct sunlight on them and will be hotter than hell from mid-day on and the higher they are in the building the warmer they will be. Many apartment owners with west facing apartments also may not be able to install Air Conditioning, so what you have brought up is of concern. Due to all of the development over the years, the increased population, and Global Warming has resulted in AC being necessary in many apartments, yet Colombians don't like AC, where as foreigners can't survive without it.

Another item is noise which can be an issue as well, as nobody installs dual or triple glaze windows.

Posts: 3802I actually see mostly credit cards because they always ask how many payments and have them sign a receipt versus a debit card with no payments.

Posts: 261As I said, the week before it seemed like anything goes, oral sin condon anal etc. I can make small talk with the girls and have a bit of a friendly chat so its definitely not down to the way I'm asking as this is now my standard request wherever I go which again is usually no problema. Also I would never suggest an upsell if it was not offered as I like girls to be proactive. This week was a bit of a strange one, searching for a couple of centro regulars and nowhere to be found, only a few lookers around.

Also something I didn't mention in the original report, I came across a few girls and when I went to approach they had deep voices, not husky female voices but deep men like. Now I have been around Thailand long enough to spot trannies and some in El centro are obvious, the hands usually give it away for me first but when I was examining the body close up the tetonas and everything else definitely looked real so that left me confused. Overall this week centro was a waste of time.
Now I'm off to DC before shutdown.

You might want to experience this apartment in the late afternoon. Top floor apartments don't have much insulation and you can be buying (or renting) an oven. A friend of mine had this experience.

Posts: 18154I think you are seeing them use debit cards. I use my Amex Platinum everywhere unless it is a place that only accepts cash. It is always assumed to be debito and the people seem surprised when I say credito, as if they don't get many people using credit cards.

Posts: 315Definitely need some luck. Thanks. It's about 71 meters squared or about 765 feet squared. There's one I saw today, 3 bed /2 bath, 81 meters or about 880 feet, it's on top floor (31st) with crazy nice view, privacy from other neighbors, 2 balconies, and all modern design. It's asking for $90 k. Time to put on my negotiating hat.
