    New ATM "fee"

I spent the last week (Mon-Fri) in MDE. On my arrival, I went upstairs to get cash from the ATM. Something new happened that never happened to me before. My last trip was May 2019, so this may have started some time ago.

I made 3 withdrawals from SERVIBANCAS.

There was a 16,000 COP ATM fee, and then it said that there is a "5. 5% conversion margin", and the rate was 3,451. For some reason the first withdrawal was at the full bank rate (3595). But the other 2 were at 3451. Some weird shit.

1 million COP debited $282.57 (receipt says 1,016,000).

1 million COP debited $294.35 (receipt says 1,016,000).

    600 K COP debited $178.46 (receipt says 616,000).

I then did another withdrawal a few days late for 150 k at Banco De Bogota ATM on La 70.

150 k + 13,200 ATM fee, so 163,200 and the debit was $47.91. So the rate was 3406 (says "6. 10% markup on the receipt".

Has this been going on for a while? I always got at or close to bank rate, and the ATM fee (which Schwab refunds).

Why checking account? Corriente here. No one uses checks except businesses. I had a corriente only because at the time, they only issued a debit card with such an account. But now an ahorros (savings) comes with a debit card and I closed my corriente account.

Fwiw, all banks suck bigtime here. With Bancolombia, be prepared to wait forever for anything. There's generally no need to have a Colombian account unless you have a business or for some other specific reason. Get a Schwab or Capital One account and use ATMs to withdraw cash with no service charge.

First time she came on to me in the lobby. I had finished earlier with a girl so told her meet tomorrow. The next morning she wanted to postpone for an hour. I canceled. Why should I wait when she is so close and I told her no makeup, perfume, fancy clothes. Just shower.

Second time she text me and said meet tonight at 5:00 pm. She canceled when I texted to confirm.

Third time weeks later she waved to me outside the hotel and I said what the hell. I canceled because I was not paying upfront when 1. She knows I am not going anywhere (clothes and stuff everywhere in my room). 2. She should know that I am not going to cause problems in the hotel I am staying at that she is staying at also. 3. She can simply ask any hotel staff if I am a good guy or not.

So many girls and so many foreigners I have met are so flaky. Whether I get her or not I simply do not care. Thought it was a funny story to tell because I know everyone can relate. Except you because you walk on water. You pay many girls the same prices from 10 years prior. You get all these girls for free. You can go anywhere because you are such a bad ass. Your info is pretty spot on but when you start talking about yourself you are so full of!

You remind me of the guy that posts on the comment section of news articles about how you can help me make a million dollars in the stock market. If that guy was so smart and rich from stocks why would he share that information with anyone and post in such a stupid location? If you are all that you say you are then why are you even on this site with nearly 12,000 posts? You do not need to be on any site. Just simply walk down the street and the girls will be there for you.

I opened one with just my passport a few years ago. Told them it was to do with a property purchase, etc. and it was reasonably straightforward.

The branch I used (in case that matters) was the one in Sante Fe Mall.

I opened an account with Bancolombia while a student at EAFIT with my Passport at the branch on campus. I heard that there is one other bank, but I don't recall the name that would open a bank account for a foreigner. The BanColombia branch at EAFIT is the only exception I was told in Medellin that allows it. Albeit, I think in your situation you might be able to convince someone to open an account for you, but suggest you go to one of the larger full service Bancolombia branches that has a staff of more than just tellers who deals with businesses as well. Ask to speak to a manger versus an assessor who has the authority to do so. Good luck and keep us posted.

You need to find an accommodating branch as well as bank employee who will do it. It can be done, but takes patience. This has been discussed on FB with a list of Bancolombia branches that others have been successful at.

Then there's the whole explanation of why she should agree to let him pay after. Reeks of desperation for a 30-35 year old with obviously fake boobs and ass.

Surely pickings can't be that slim that we need to beg 3rd stringers to play by our rules.

His problem. He tried for #3. For someone to take such offense at a girl requiring payment upfront is preposterous. OP makes lots of assumptions. I. e. the girl should know that he is a man of his word. And all the conclusions and assumptions he makes about the girl having scars and such. One has to wonder why he even propositioned her 3 times. And he pats himself on the back. While it is not the most honorable profession, have some respect for a human being.
