I just got back from a week in MDE. I lived through toque and also the lock-down on the weekend. I had virtually no issues getting chicas to come over day and night to see me. That said, all of them were repeats. Prepagos from FB and non-pros. Two of them spent the night so they would not have to take a cab home in the middle of the night.

My apartment was in Laureles. When I could go out before 8 pm, I did not go out much other than to get money and some drinks. Once the lock-down started on Thursday night, I did not go out at all. The neighborhood was so peaceful and the weather was great. Luckily the apartment has two floors, the top being a larger terraza with a great jacuzzi. So hanging out inside (with and without chicas) was fine. If I had a smaller place or no jacuzzi, I probably would have felt differently.

Things were crazy on Monday when I left. Street full of people and traffic. Everything looking normal, since everyone had been holed up for 3 days.

I went to the airport at noon for a 3:45 pm Flight. I got my COVID test at the airport. It was a little slow, but they did not have that many people waiting, so not bad. The most time spent was filling out paperwork, especially since the gringos before me spoke no Spanish and did not understand what was being asked of them. The line outside the airport door was super long when I arrived for my test. They had only one entrance. But it went relatively fast. By the time I finished my COVID test, the lines at the door were gone and the line at COPA was minimal.

Next time I'll get my COVID test at a clinic, like I did before.

Overall, had a good time. Thanks to my chicas and Rappi.

I tried and failed, but not giving up. I went to Bancolombia in Puerta del Norte, waited about an HR, they give you a ticket and there's a waiting area inside. At least they have air conditioning, I was surprised! Lady said I needed a seedula de extranjero, tried to talk my way out. She asked her supervisor / manager, still a No. Oh well, I'll ask my real estate lawyer if he knows anyone in bank to help out. Just like anywhere in the world, connection is key.

On side note, lots of hot bank employees. Even with masks, I couldn't help but stare at their bodies!

Go to EAFIT. You might need to tell them you're going to see about Spanish classes. Go to the Bancolombia branch there. They have been known to allow people to open an account with only a passport.

There's some sort of big soccer tournament going on at the beginning of June they'll shut down for all of May. They have refused to cancel that tournament under any circumstances.

My brother from another mother, well I am the exception as about 4 years ago I was able to get my Bancolombia account only with my US passport BUT, and here is the but, this was after many tries at a number of different banks and branches then my real estate attorney who handled my apartment purchase told me that he had a friend who was the manager of a Bancolombia branch in Laureles, he took me in and in 20 minutes was all set up.

So the best advice I can offer the original poster about this question is to check many branches as they all have a different twist on the requirements. Of course it always helps if you know someone in the bank.

Did anyone hear about the curfew extended in Month of May? Arriving on May 4th and hopefully it will end for weekends.

Recently the medical establishment has been advocating for a 14 day total lock down which would suck. So the chatter goes in the other direction. However when you look a the official statistics, case are going down and ICU utilization is plateauing. So your guess is as good as anyones.

This sounds just like what it would take to pull off the account without the cedula, I have tried many times and know that the only success that I have seem is when you know someone in the bank or you have a cedula, sounds about right, thank again Tall Man. Pollo Negro is out!

So being in lockdown for the past almost 4 days I just needed to get out so headed down to centro this Monday afternoon April 26th and intended to take a '3 hour tour' (pun intended) but doubled that time as I got sidetracked.

First thing I noted is that I did not see the normal cast of gringo characters around and about, where did all you gringos go?

It was busy with chicas and vendors and lots of activity just about every where. A few new chicas to boot, I almost pulled the trigger with a new Vennie, thin and damn cute face but just did not feel right, I ask how old are you about 4 different ways till Sunday and she kept her response to 19 but she looks like she put 4 years onto her real age so NEXT. She had no ID to show me, careful boys.

I ended up with a paisa whom I have known for about 4 years and we used the Residencia Chellet, is that the name, it is the hotel mid way on the block behind the Vera, last time I was in this hotel was probably 2 years ago and I think they must have done some remodeling as it looks just a bit better condition now. The room was 15 mil and my girl rocked my world.

Wow there was a torrential downpour of rain at about 3 PM which lasted an hour. Thunder and a downpour but as soon as it stopped everything gets back to normal within 5 minutes. It is almost cool to watch as you think it has been all orchestrated by a higher power, hehehehe.

I have a few "rules" that I think would be helpful to a lot of visitors. We all know that "rules" may work for most but there are always people for whom they don't work. I. e. We are all different. So to quote a famous pirate. "They are more like guidelines."

1. You don't go out with a woman with a bigger ass than yours. It just won't work out.

2. 1 You don't fall in love with your hooker.

2. 2 You don't marry your hooker.

2. 3 You damn sure don't impregnate your hooker.

3. 1 You never send money to a girl you don't know.

3. 2 You never send money to a girl you DO know.

4. If you are on vacation, you don't see 1 girl 10 times, you see 10 girls 1 time.

5. When a prepago tells you she wants to be your "novia" (girlfriend), remind her that novios (boyfriends) don't pay their novias and watch how fast she backs away from that idea.

6. Never arrange an overnight (toda la noche) or a trio with a girl you haven't seen before. It won't happen the way you picture it. If, after having seen her once (preferably twice). You'll be far better positioned to know if it will be as much fun as you would like..

Nothing to disagree with here, although I'm not sure I've ever been with a woman with an ass smaller than mine.

I think you have a different definition of flaky. I always thought flaky was when a chick told you she would do something and she did not do it. I did not think flaky pertained to you getting no answer back from random ads. That is why I advise to get on the ground then contact who is available at the moment.

Technically, you probably have a point about flaky. It definitely applies for the ones who were late. But I saved links not phone numbers, so I checked their latest ad and didn't call any that were not available. Most were posted within an hour. I know some are auto posted, so the timestamp isn't exactly true. But why put up ads if you won't answer your calls. But it's dumb trying to use US mentality to figure them out.
