Interesting topic / issue you have brought up. Seems like a lot of the Colombian Chicas have no problem getting boned when they are on their period "regla", and a lot of Colombian women have told me it's pretty common for the Colombian guys to fuck them while their bleeding, however for most gringos they avoid it.

Also, there is a medicine that a lot of the working girls take to suppress / eliminate their blood flow during their period so they can continue working.

Weekend quarantine again this weekend. Probably another one this month as well since there is a holiday coming up. Also, some stuff seems to be closing early during the week because of the protests.

Thanks dudes. El Poblado it is. But question. All the "energy living" rentals on Airbnb look like legit places but it seems the "guest policy disclaimers " are brutal. You are correct. Depends on your situation, at least for part of it. Probably 99% of guys don't need a PI to do background checks on chicas for them. I was in the United States, had never been to Colombia, didn't speak Spanish at the time and was going to see a girl I had only met face-to-face for less than 24 hours, about a year earlier. I received MUCH more than a search of public records, which BTW I could not do confidentially at the time or even now because my Spanish is not good enough, yet. For one thing, I learned with confidence the chica I was going to meet did not have a serious boyfriend. That was huge.

I also thought the place where my future novia was working at in Medellin was possibly a criminal enterprise and that turned out to be mostly my paranoia. Those may sound like easy things to uncover, but from a continent away, in a place I had never been, using a language I could not understand, hiring a PI was a no-brainer for me. Hindsight is 20/20 but I would do it again the same way. The issue was not the cost, but what did I have to lose, what was at risk? Also, comfort levels are individualistic, and that alone can be justification. Hard to put a price on peace of mind. Insurance companies make a fortune doing so. The link I supplied previously to the PI firm can be used with confidence, with the caveat that was a pre-Covid world. So much has changed.

Let me give you a recent, real world example. A Gringo friend of mine was supposed to get married the day before my flight out of my most recent trip. I have known Mark (not his real name) longer than anyone except for Catgirl in Medellin, and who I have mentioned here before as the guy who took me under his wing when I first arrived in MDE and who was very well versed in the ways of Colombia and Medellin, as knowledgeable and informed as anyone on this forum. I was his best man, really more of a witness, jaja. Anywho, Mark met his bride in Ecuador and all I was hearing about for the last eight months was how amazing this woman was, great cook, great in bed, real wifey material. He flew the bride and her friends to MDE on his dime, put them up in a rooftop AirBnB. He's got money, but it wasn't cheap. Guaranteed me I would get laid by the bridesmaid for just showing up, jajaja.

Basically, less than two days before the wedding, he found conclusive evidence by his definition that she had a "real" boyfriend all along, and their master plan was basically not to kill him, but siphon off his finances and live a separate parasitic secret existence. The PI's I used would have discovered this. He did not get financially ruined, more like inconvenienced. But the emotional damage was significant. Can you imagine the mess he could've been in if he had not learned what he did until after the wedding? Maybe they would have killed him, who knows? I don't think his situation screamed for a professional background check of his wife to be, because he was with her a lot, but obviously not enough to detect the secret boyfriend. And if you think you are too smart or too wise to get caught like that, I assure you, you are not. There is always a chica slicker and craftier than you.

So avoidance is a valid tacitic. If you are fully committed to the mongering lifestyle, and don't ever plan to have a serious relationship for the rest of your life, then that should not happen to you. But that does not make you smarter, only different. Ostee Out.

So I just flew into Medellin yesterday. And I had zero idea about the protests that are currently happening until the night before I left. Tonight, a large majority of my apartment complex is banging on pots and pans and singing songs. My usual girls are telling me that this is is not going to end soon and potentially not well. One asked me to go to a protest this weekend. Not going to do that. Probably. She legit looks like Mila Kunis so I could be dragged there.

Question for you more experienced visitors. This seems like kind of a powder keg. I'm here for a month at least (was going to stay for the international football matches on June 14-18 but that's now a stretch). Do you think this thing is going to pop off hard enough to worry? There's anti-duque graffiti everywhere, I saw 100 cops by San Diego mall pumping themselves up for the night, this seems to be the topic of conversation wherever I go. Etc.

My house is in downtown Chicago and I went through those crazy riots. I'm really not a nervous nelly, and am still not worried at all, but these emotions seem a lot more raw than what I felt back then.

The highest caliber hotels don't want to offend guests and refuse to allow hookers, in end of story. You want to stay in the Poblado area, but you really upscale modern sort of place with nice coffee shops and little stores. As far as finding women that isn't going to be a problem. That's going to be the least of your problems.
