Well it was announced that the current COVID preventive measures that were in place during the last week, meaning daily curfew 10 PM to 5 AM with no weekend lockdown will be in place thru at least next weekend. I'm pulling the plug and returning this coming weekend and keeping my fingers crossed that the total weekend lockdowns won't be started back up, and the protests / blockades & mayhem will subside as well.

I am posting this again here as my original post got moved, I have retracted the initial part of the post.

The other day I couldn't find Sexy Fantasias inside Caracas Mall thingy. The description on the world traveller map says "On the second floor, across from the gym on the 2nd floor you will see a gate and a staircase, go up" so this is assuming you are already on the second floor? There was no way up to the second floor, there was a staircase that led to a barbers and another staircase with a shutter and then another with a gate, was that it? Can someone provide some more instruction, thanks. I sent them a what's app asking if they were operating and they said they were so I guess its still up and running but they did not seem to willing to help me find it.

My second choice was closed Club Paris, went by this twice on two separate afternoons, no bell no sign nothing. The door was locked shut. Went to club Amigas de sexy on 45, there also seems to be another listing on 58? Amigas on 45, friendly place but they only showed around 3-4 girls and they didn't look too great, one did but she was a bit miserable. I left, no charge for the presentation. Went back to my usual Dulce see, another awesome session.

Any more recommendations for casas?

Some people were asking about renting fincas outside of Medellin, I did it and it was fun but a lot of the towns are closed, meaning the airbnbs will not accept bookings or your booking could be cancelled due to covid measures or you may not be able to get a hotel.

Blending in, is not a preventative measure. Mr. E it's the sign of the times. I still love Colombia and I will continue to visit regularly until my novia and Mother re-locate to the USA but Thousands of Colombians get robbed everyday and they blend in! I have been traveling to Colombia pretty much exclusively for the last ten years now. I've only been robbed once and that was by the maintenance man in my hotel, a sneak thief, I have been the exception not rule. The sad part of all this turmoil in Colombia is what was.

ONCE SAFE IS NO LONGER. If your not careful and you spend considerable time in any city in Colombia, you get robbed. Ask Woodman, who I know and know him to be a very savvy guy and they got him. Colombia, Bogota, even in upscale El Poblado, it's not the same anymore.

Protests are continuing across the country and in Medellin. Reports of big protests in Robledo yesterday and blocking of tunnels from airport to the city.

Where is the end in sight? Does anyone think people will keep protesting until May 2022 election?

First of all I never said I was worried about danger in Colombia.

I just said I was in Rio and that it's good.

They're also not rioting, protesting or burning things up in Brazil.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. You're right, things seem more dangerous in Colombia now than in Brasil. I'm not sure I'd venture to either country now. Selfishly, I hope things settle down by next Winter which is when I usually travel anyway, but feel bad for the people there.

I agree, Dulce and Zandalay's are two of the best clubs in that area. While Aiffe used to be great with a good number (10+) a couple of years back, its now only 3-6 girls and has gone downhill in the recent past.

Sexy Fantasias is the one that is upstairs from Chicaspunto.com and doesn't really operate anymore, but if you were in the right place you would have passed the chicaspuntocom, this places has a lot of girls inside, and guys are out on the street in front of the entrance everyday handing out cards and saying that there are girls inside. If you are at Parque Bolivar on the side furthest from the church and fountain you turn right and walk about a block or a block and a half, on the left hadn't side you can see were the guys are standing in front of the entrance handing out cards, and then some shops selling herbs and natural medicines. Club Paris is maybe closed now, I don't know for awhile they had a sign on the door with a number to call first and then they would let you in, then they were open normally again and now the last few times I passed it was as you mentioned, so not really sure. Really there are usually only 3-5 girls there, it is friendly but you are not really missing much by not being able to visit. I like Dulce compania as you mentioned, Aiffe can be good, and Zandalay has quite a few cute girls as well, and since they are all quite nearby definitely worth checking them all out. Amigas can be hit or miss, but usually there are more than 3-4 girls available, like I would say 8-10 normally so maybe worth having another look at some point.

Rio (and Sao Paulo) are the best, but if you're worried about danger in Colombia, why would you think Brasil would be any safer? Both countries are going through rough times due to the pandemic and the economic fallout.

I am seeing a big jump in flights pricing from Midwest to MDE or BOG for travel in June. At least 200 plus. What used to be around 300 is now 550 round trip for a week trip.

What are you guys seeing?

Not sure why your prices are up but I read an article today saying lots of flights to and from Latin America are up because of all the Latinos going on Vaccine vacation to the USA and Obvio return. If they have a visa they can come to the USA and get vaccinated, only need a visa. Google Vaccine vacations.

The US should have already sent 100 million vaccines to Colombia in exchange for some cheap oil, coffee, bananas and avocados. Everyone wins.
