You could do better than 20 mil for a Chica, but you wouldn't want any one to see you going with a beached whale or skanked out Sacalero with their glue bag in one hand. Actually, there are lots of girls there who will go for 20 mil, especially the Venezuelans, and the locals are pulling them, but they are nothing to write home about.

People are so desperate right now that 20 mil for less than an hours work can be very appealing. There are girls selling coffee all day who are lucky to make 15-20 mil so if you think about it, some of them will jump on a chance to make a quick buck, but they have to be comfortable going with the guy. Also, nowadays most of the Chicas want to get out of Dodge when the sun goes down, hence there will be some Chicas willing to go for cheap who haven't had a client all day, and some of the women are so obese and disgusting I still haven't figured out who in the hell goes with them, hence there's some of the low budget market in my opinion.

And guys just can't show up in El Centro and expect to find a little gem without spending a lot of time on the ground observing and figuring out which ones to approach. I personally always look for a stray cat / loner, someone I've never seen there before, hence the luck I have at times.

After my session with her, at 12:30 PM I went back over to ground zero and took a bunch of laps. What surprised me was how many more girls were out working on a Sunday during the middle of the day. Anyways, I decided to go swim laps at the pool in Bellen and hoped in a cab, and what a workout. Wow, so happy to be back. Arrived last night at 11 PM and was at my place by Midnight. Woke up and by 10 AM had the refrigerator full, everything un-packed, hit the ATM machine and withdrew 5. 4 Million Pesos, went to the Poblado Metro Station, loaded up my Civica, and arrived at ground zero at 10:30 AM, besides visiting again at 12:30 PM and again at 2:30 PM. I wanted to get some perspective after being gone a while.

This Sunday was not like any other Sunday I have ever observed at ground zero. Sunday's are always the slowest and worst days to be in El Centro for girls, but for some reason lots of times on Sundays I have good luck. Upon arriving at 10:30 AM, it was slim pickings, albeit seemed to be more girls out at that hour on a Sunday but I didn't like anything I saw so I called one of my regulars and she happened to be near by and met me in front of Hotel Nutibarra and we walked over to Hotel Deseos just down the block from the airport bus stop. She's early thirties and 5'11" tall, and slim, and a nympho, just what I was looking for to start the day and all in. I always have a difficult time understanding her Spanish, but understood enough and asked her about what had been going on over the past three months with all the robberies and video's that have been posted about here. She said there has been a heavy duty escalation of robberies over the past three months, with the difference being that instead of two or three guys now there are whole groups of guys like 6 to 8 attacking people. And apparently these groups are sometimes a mixture of both Colombians and Venezuelans working together which I found odd. The thing that she did say that was very alarming though was about how violent the robberies are nowadays with people getting knifed to death and not much said about it. She also said lots of the locals are also not visiting EL Centro as much anymore as well which makes perfect sense given that literally 100% of the victims are locals...

I was in el centro on Thursday and spent about 4 hours, not so much new in terms of new chicas but found my ATF paisa whom I have known for 3 plus years and she had a cute friend so why not right! One of the better 3-somes I have had in some time and I usually don't do them much anymore.

I was thinking about stopping by centro this afternoon as I was shopping in Laureles but as it was coming up to 4 PM my better senses told me to start making my way driving home and glad I did as I got caught up in a protest on the regional which took a little over an hour to go 1 km.

And yes so true about the uptick in crime but not only in centro but Laureles and Poblado and other barrios.

While we are mentioning the downsides, limp dick syndrome etc, cocaine is also known to cause sudden cardiac arrest. I'm not sure of the risks associated with 2 CB or Tussi, but Google is your friend. When taking risks it's wise to know what those risks are.

So besides the women who are desperate to survive and have a way to do it, you have all the others resorting to robbing others violently and reminiscent of the past in Colombia. And Johnny O was smart to stay within police presence like I did today. When there are no police around anytime of day in El Centro I won't be venturing out into these areas whereas before I would. The desperation based on my observations today and what I was told is very sad, and hopefully things will get better.

Anyways, tomorrow the Tomboy is coming over to stay with me for a few days, can't wait to jump her bones, and another day in paradise.

Just to add and supplement to what JjBee62 said, there is a thread that can be found in the User Blog section of the Colombia Forum that is called "Medellin Map and List" and within this forum are two great tools the "Medellin Map" and the "Medellin Chica List". The Medellin Map is a curate special Google Map made by BM World Travel 69 (as was the list). The map shows the locations of various Casas, Strip Clubs, Massage parlors, Love Hotels, areas where street walkers frequent etc.

On my laptop and on my phone this map works in conjunction with Google Maps and I can get step by step directions, I have a Google Phone so my experience may be different from people with say an iPhone. But I have no way to know. But when I open the Medellin Map on my phone and I tap on a location or business then the name appears at the bottom, then I tap on that a red banner pops up with the name and within that red banner is the "directions" icon from Google Maps, when I tap on that it opens the main Google Maps app and I have to choose my starting location. The usual options in Google Maps are there, (except bicycle is not) Driving, Public Transport, Walking, and Ride Hailing (the only two options that come up for me in Medellin are Taxi and Cabify but of course no Uber option or Didi.

The Medellin Chica List, also curated by BM World Travel 69 , is a list of venues where mongers like to go with address, hours of operation and last known pricing. There is a suggestion at the beginning of the list is this suggestion - "To get your bearings on the layout of the city, I suggest taking the Turibus Tour. I thought Chavez took over sometime around 1999 or 2000? Maybe I'm missing something here, but if the mongering was as good or better in Venezuela in 2007, I don't think you can blame the "nose dive" on Chavez.

Either your or my knowledge of history has some gaps in it. Protests (of the magnitude yada yada) don't always result in a government overthrow and when it does the result isn't always socialism. Colombia had worse protests back in the 1970's. After 50 years of civil war, still not socialist. 200 years earlier there were worse protests about 4,000 miles north of Colombia. Pretty sure that didn't end up in socialism either.

As for prostitution, it only goes away when poverty disappears. Actually, it doesn't go away even then, it just gets more expensive. Governments might make it illegal, it might be harder to find, but as long as there are hungry people, there will be women spreading for cash.

2007 was the period I was there when Chavez was in power and p4p was dismal. I visited Venezuela in the 70's and 80's and p4p was great then.

The rules of engagement we covered extensively here during the early months of the pandemic still apply for weekend lockdowns. The worst case scenario was when we had to re-purpose supermarket or pharmacy trips to hit clubs and apartments that continued to operate. Lower forms of life like us Centro rats also combed ground zero for stray opportunities. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the protests were much more frightening on this web site than they have been in real life.

Upon arriving last night the cab driver from the airport told me there have been no "big protests" in Medellin for at least a week. Albeit small and very peaceful ones everyday in Medellin with no police brutality, and most people are kinda over it. So I am hopeful the violent protest stuff is over, now the only possible impediment to letting the good times flow like before in early April is if the weekend lockdowns commence and there is a forecasted fourth peak, after all the super spreader protester events. Should know by early next week and am planning accordingly if it happens.
