Mojo thanks for always your awesome reports on this site, did I not here at one point energy building completely stopped all quests in building? Has it went back to normal or did it never change?

Very annoying I agree, but nothing a 5 $ tip every now and then, would probably would fix that problem! Did you try this? Weird because sounds like it's only him doing it, he's probably looking for something!

While it is nothing like being at Hotel Haven for being able to walk to so many restaurants, there is a Carulla supermarket about 300 meters south (I walked it and I am fat, old and out of shape), and there is a shopping center about 100 meters down the hill on the opposite side of the street that has among other things 3 ATMs, a pharmacy and a selection of restaurants, such as Japanese (Kabuki), Argentinian (La Pampa Parrilla), a casual fare lunch spot called Pecositas, a fast casual Chinese place (123 wok), a good burger place (Fire House) , Subway, Papa Johns Pizza, and an El Bunuelo (Colombian donuts)
The views from the roof and the apartments on the high floors are remarkable as evidenced by the photos below that were taken from there.

So I book a local travel guide to show me around, and with people reporting drugging of visitors I think it's the right thing to do. Does anyone have experience with a person named (passport dog) he wants $130 USD for 4 days of guiding.

I stayed at Haven and its a good hotel but there's one really annoying guy that works night shifts that forces you to come downstairs and sign the girl in instead of just calling and sending her up. The rest of them just call or just send them up once they check the cedula.

Posts: 591Leaving why Cartagena now after a nice stay unfortunately sorry to report many first hand reports of druggings from mongers. Be careful.
One dude drugged in a nice club in Medellin El Centro for an IPhone apparently. Took several days to recover. He had lived in Medellin for years.

I'll be staying at Hotel M for my first trip.
Is there a website for Haven?

Posts: 2115I agree with this. I have been in Haven with my business team members including women and non monger friends. No one ever felt uncomfortable. The hotel events actually seem to cater to rich locals and there don't seem to be an issue. The rooms are not cheap so the crowd reflects that, which is nice. I also wrote about Provenza lofts, around the corner. More budget, lots of jacuzzi options but no views. Best wishes to all and I am thrilled that CO is open.

Posts: 2115I have stayed at both. It is not even a comparison for me. Hotel Haven for sure. They have actual amenities and central in location. Energy is a nice building but not walking distance to anything. Also the security of being in a good hotel can't be beat. I used to be an Airbnb guy in Medellin but not anymore. Tired of Potrero BS. Now I chose a girl friendly hotel with views.
Over the years, I wrote many times about this. I go to Medellin for girls, weather and views. My trips are short but frequent. I keep the hassle to minimum.

I am taking my 2nd trip to Medellin shortly.
First time, I stayed at Mansion. It went well.
I hope to stay there again for part of the trip. However, they are already sold out for some of the days I will be in Medellin.
As an alternative, I am considering booking Energy Living on Airbnb or Hotel Haven.
Which do you believe is better? I have never been to either place. Which is better neighborhood? Are they both in safe areas? Are they far from the Mansion?
Howard.

Posts: 590First, thanks for letting me know about my mailbox. I had no idea. I cleared out some stuff.
I had no issues with noise, but I imagine that would be possible.
Actually, I though the comings and goings were fairy discreet. There were several folks in the hotel who were not mongering, including a big group of folks (including wives) from Florida and a few gay couples. I would not call this a "mongering" hotel, per se, although I'd say there were probably 4 of us in the hotel at the time.

Posts: 31It never looked like a working girl house, and last time I was there, there was a family staying there too, as in kids which surprised me. It's mostly at night if you are in the lobby, to notice the working girls coming in. Overall it's a fun hotel, but yeah the walls are not completely soundproof, so you will definitely hear music or whatever your neighbor is watching on tv if loud enough.

I got news for you, your midget fetish is now fulfilled, jajaja. I have seen her and on your recommendation I am going to smash her next time I am there which should be soon.

Great report!
I will be arriving at Haven for 10 days. J uly 1-10 I saw one person said there were parties after 2 am next door to his room every night. Which I can handle if I am prepared for it. LOL also would a non-pro or a seeking A girl freak out seeing lots of girls coming and going? It sounded kind of busy with girls coming and going. I am also ok with this but I think my friends could feel uncomfortable. I would probably get a secondary place if needed to avoid if it's looking like a working girl house.
Don't mind staying there but I try to look respectable. LOL.
Any input appreciated.
