Probably the biggest difference between driving in Medellin versus in a larger City in the USA, is that pedestrians do not have the right of way. This means drivers don't stop for pedestrians 95% of the time, in essence meaning they are "road kill", so I could see getting rear ended easily if I was driving because I would be stopping for pedestrians.

And as far as being cost effective, I don't think so. Taxi's and public transportation are very cheap, so why bother with a car and dealing with all the hills, one way streets, endless red lights, rainstorms, and congested roads.

That's my take on driving here, although others have no problem doing it.
One of my taxi drivers was doing coke whilst driving, if anyone walked into the street, he accelerated like he was playing a video game (I was sitting shotgun thinking, this country is muy loco).

    Stay off the fucking street!

In Bogota the sidewalks aren't even safe, the motos drive on them when there are traffic jams.

This is highly disturbing and has scarred me mentally against anal probably for life.

Perhaps for the heck of it, next time you see her, ask her if she provides those services, but I suggest you tell her with a condom.

And if you truly do bareback anal, and she agrees to it with a condom, it will probably only be a slight upcharge to bareback her.
No gracias, I don't want a murder charge!

I will attempt to coin a new mongering phrase
"if it aint tight it aint right" as with all things within reason jajajajajajaaaaaa

    I figured it out

I figured out why Ricerocket wants to live in Bello. I was chatting with my date last night and the subject of Bello and all the working girls there came up. Just then I realized RR likes to stay in Bello because he hates paying for taxis.

Antigen test, 90 K, printed test result in 45 minutes. Cenditra, www.cendiatra.com with offices in Medellin. One location about two blocks north of the Aquacatala Metro Station near EAFIT. Bring a copy of your ID with you and they open at 6 AM in the morning. Arrived there Tuesday at 6:15 AM, was out the door by 7 AM with a printed test result in my hand.

Everything you said is correct. It's not cost effective, the motos are crazy and there are a lot of crazy drivers out there. However, I'm actually enjoying it. The only close call I had was on the drive from Bogota. Was passing slow trucks on a twisting mountain road and decided I could take 2 at once. Should have had a camera crew there because it was some serious stunt driving. Squeezed in front of the truck with about 6 inches to spare.

Not to dissuade you even further, but. Jajaja

Funny story, I go to a brothel in Moscow Nov 2018, they bring out a line up, I pick the hottest of the bunch, I take her to the side and tell her I want to fill her ass with my cum sin condom via google translate.

    She nods OK.

So I'm fucking her doggy style and I look down and its a huge mess, I freaked out and ran in the shower got dressed and bolted LOL.

A wasted $100 usd, I've been banging putas in the ass since the early 80's and that never happened before, I've broken girls water before but never the colon LOL.

Scooter in the city. Motorcycle on the open road a dream vacay. Ok a car is safer.

However, if driving stressed you out, probably better to stick with taxis.

Another option you might consider is renting a scooter or motorcycle. Medellin Sports Rentals (formerly Medellin Scooter Rentals) can help you out. Nice people.
You need to stop encouraging me. A hot Showaround tour guide had suggested she would take me on her moped to a waterfall 1 hour outside the city. She was too good looking for me to trust her driving. So I went by that rental shop on my last trip. Ran out of time. If just to get around safely with little chance of being robbed by any other motorcycle gang peeps. And with out the taxi's "unable to find" the addresses with their (we got no GPS) BS. I will probably do it. I may also fly to Pereira, rent a car and drive to Medellin. Fuck the traffic. And the girls! Spend a couple days on the road and enjoy. TallMan? Don't be a wuss.

I plan on doing excursions and actually exploring the area vs just mongering so I figured it might be more cost effective for me to drive. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.
Just get a driver. So many issues and scams if you drive yourself.
    Surfer500 is spot on.

I agree with your comparison with big American cities. Compare Colombia driving culture with places like the Dominican Republic or India and Colombia seems very safe and orderly. The traffic is not a lot of fun either.

US just requires an antigen test, but PCR is acceptable.

No one deserves to get HIV. Everyone is better off without it.

    My man! Thank you!

Me and two friends, all in our 30's and wildly green, heading to the mansion July 7-14. Maybe we will see some of y'all.

To Mojo Bandit, the positive feedback (from you and several others) to my two recent posts appreciated—and your patience in slogging through the lengthy disgorge of prose. One more installment to come. In response to your question I did have a membership subscription, but let it lapse as my idyll in Paisa land was coming to an end. I will renew at some point before long, for sure later in the year when preparing to return to Medellin next January for 3 months; perhaps sooner for a cameo visit. I do find negotiating the cryptocurrency payment process for a $25 purchase a bit of a hassle, but ISGs a service to humanity sans pareil.

Anything goes in El Centro for a price, and if your looking to do bareback anal, this is where you should be looking as there are lots of candidates available, especially by the Veracruz Church.
