I think I've just about filled up a notebook worth of notes for my first trip. I'm 39, been married for 12 years, and this is the first boys trip I've had in. 12 years. How is the transportation situation there? I'm worried about being stuck in some seedy bar at 4 am with no way home LOL are taxis or uber running 24/7?

If you're at Parque Lleras for sure you won't have a problem with transportation.

What are beers / mixed drinks costing right now in Medellin? Prices at bars, strip clubs, and then just liquor stores? And is everything opened regularly again? No curfew? Sorry for the all the questions. When I visit in a few weeks, I'll make sure to post about my experiences. Thanks guys!

I've been to Colosal twice in the past month. I thought the food was good, service, ambience and views were incredible. If you talk to them, the chef definitely has stuff available that is not on the menu. If you go definitely recommend reserving a table where you have a good view and check out sunset and avoid a time when it rains and clouds block the view. Tip is included but its a nice place so we always gave the waiter an extra tip.

That's why we went, we sat right next to the railing during sunset, no rain (pretty nice).

I just think its lame that's all they can offer, I'm sure they can find better chefs.

They really must not care about food quality.

The best thing I tasted was the free bread and butter.

I have been searching the forum for a while and have yet to find out where these mansions are. Everyone seems to be keeping to info a secret for some reason. I landed last night and was even trying to see about booking a room at the mansion. There is a dude selling the info for $75 but that seems ridiculous. Can anyone help me out here?

I've been there. The food was OK. I think the attraction is more about the view and location than anything else. There are plenty of other restaurants that are more convenient with food that is as good or better. After all, panoramic views of the valley are not hard to find. Check any of slapshots jacuzzi photos.

Are we talking about the views of the "pink snapper" in his photo's, screw the views of the valley!

I've been there. The food was OK. I think the attraction is more about the view and location than anything else. I was there in December of 2018 and I agree with MarquiseSade1's review of it. If the current menu is the one on their website, it has changed since I was there. Three ladies and I had dinner there. None of us had been there before. The three ladies were Medellin locals and had only heard about it. The total tab was 645,000 COP. We had two appetizers, four entrees, one dessert, and drinks. The ladies had two pitchers of sangria and I had a bottle of water. The water was 17,000 and the sangria was 120,000 per pitcher (small). Each of us had a different type of entre - pork, salmon, steak, and crab triangles. I wanted chicken, but the waiter said it would take two hours to prepare. Salmon was the only fish on the menu at that time. The crab triangles were like ravioli except three sided and no sauce, and the taste was very bland. The salmon was good, the pork was just okay, and the steak (ribeye) had a large gristle in it. A band was playing and our table was next to the band. They were so loud that we could not have a conversation. Lucky for us, they took a few breaks during our meal..

Ordered the Tomahawk also, big mistake, mostly fat, bone and other inedible material.

Would be a great place for a non puta wedding, I'm guessing the puta sitting across from us was a major distraction, she looked like a 25 yo Donatella Versace.

Swollen lips and face, but that's the kind of people those places typically attract, the food was not very good, not unlike the Signature room in Chicago.

You're paying for the view, superficial crap, for mostly superficial people.

If you want a great meal go to Lucio Carbon y Vino, and order the Ribeye and the strawberry and blackberry soda wowwww, killer meal, great people, if you get a chance to chat with Fillipe the mgr sooper cool guy!

BTW we drove around Bello looking for new high rise bldgs, Bello looks cool I didn't see any nightlife.

But much too hilly for me, I want to walk or ride a bicycle to the store.

I guess a bldg with good security would be OK.

We saw several high rise, most looked kinda old, 1 new construction, but didn't look like it had 80 k usd condos.

I'm guessing we drove around 90% of Bello including all the way to the dead end at the top, did we miss your place?

Transportation from there late at night was a problem. One of the employees knew someone who had his own transportation service. The cost was 45,000 from the restaurant to Laureles.

Tripadvisor's rating for Colosal is 4.0 out of 5. It is rated #15 of 183 restaurants in Envigado.

I was hoping to "trigger" a convo comparing the 2, but I guess that won't happen LOL.

Some mongers will seek out the purely superficial and others will only except service with tangible substance!!

There really isn't another strip club in Medellin that compares to La Isla. The price to take a girl at Fase Dos is the same and the service there is pretty dismal. Also the seating at Fase Dos is all torture devices left over from the Spanish Inquisition.

However, on a good night you can find a better selection at Barra Ejecutiva for a lot less. The short time rooms at Fase Dos are better than La Isla.

I really appreciate for the intel! Barra Ejecutiva was in my notes from my last visit prep, but never made it there.

India is all of the stuff the detractors posted. You will get your mind blown by the rawness of human existence on full display alongside debauchery and excess.

You do need quite a bit of local intel to navigate the perilous, scam filled mongering scene. Also, the high end indies that I seek are rather expensive.

My favorite mongering spot is Kolkata (after St. Petersburg, Rus) mostly because of some good brothels in a red light area called Sonagauchi where you can indulge your Bollywood induced fantasies.

Hold off for at least 6 months though. They still have not come out of the second wave and they expect a bad third wave this fall.

There is Sonagashi and there is the rest of the mongering world. Two different entities. It is a spectacle that after you have been there you wonder whether you were dreaming or were on another planet. I remember banging a chick doggy with her on the bed and me standing (only position I did there) and a rat passed by my feet that would chase any domestic cat. I had problems maintaining my erection after that. Other memorable locations were the Catacombs in Chang Ping China (no longer in existence) where I had my most memorable session of all time for all the wrong reasons and Geylang, Singapore before the crackdown.
