The probability of infection is 0. 04% I. E 4 out of 10000.

This is for insertive vaginal (for male). For receptive vaginal, the risk is 0. 08% I. E 8 out of 10000.

There are other factors like duration of the encounter etc which will also influence the outcome. Longer the duration, higher is the probability.

Similarly, if either of the person's has any other STI, or cuts or wounds in genitals, then the probability goes up.

You are right. According to Heterosexual risk of HIV-1 infection per sexual-act: systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies, Marie-Claude Boily et al. , The Lancet (2009) female-to-male transmission is 0. 04% per act or, in theory, about 4 cases of HIV transmission per every 10,000 acts of vaginal sex with a woman who is HIV positive.

Contrast this with the chance of getting in an automobile accident in India. It is 8 per 10000 and a fatality rate of 1. 16 per 10000 according to Wikipedia. So, take it for what its worth. To be clear, I am not advocating for BBFS with these statistics but to point out getting infected with HIV is highly unlikely. But, there is a chance that one might get shot playing Russian roulette.
