I guess all depends on who chose the hotel. Its always better if we choose the hotel, rather than letting the girl choose, there are some girls who also have fixed hotels and call you there. While most be genuine there is a big risk going to unknown territory over which you don't have control. Same way going to an unknown girls house is also risky. Thought of responding to this as I came across a similar experience at a Radisson country inn and suites where the receptionist tried to blackmail the girl I had gone with when she checked in many days later with family.
