Why not take the train to Hua Hin? It's cheap, very safe compared to the roads and with zero stress for you.

I took the train a few years ago and it was so stress-free and pleasant. I had a ridiculously cheap first class ticket on one of the first class luxury trains which included even a lunch and a drink as part of the ticket rice.

When you arrive at Hua Hin station, don't forget to have a look at the Royal Waiting Lounge. It is really very special.

How much is Bangkok?

Forget Bangkok Captain! Go to Hua Hin, a small, beautiful and serene place with nice beaches, and plenty of entertainment. You will like it, and not too far from Bangkok. After you had enough of Hua Hin you can move on further south to Koh Samui and Phuket.

I'm staying at the Hua Hin Hilton for 8 days in March. Does anyone know if the hotel is girl friendly? I will want to pick up girls in the Hilton night club and bring them to my room. Or just pick up freelancers for a few nights.

This hotel was when I was there pre-Covid in 2019, and it was touted as being one of the better places to find ladies. Good luck.

In Hua Hin / Pattaya shoot for 1000ST and 2000 LT going higher if you have to / want to.

In your experience please share the best way to access train service.

The train leaves from Hua Lamphong in central Bangkok with 10+ departures every day. No need to book in advance, just show up. In Hua Hin, the train station is located close to the beach and city center. I think the tickets are about 150 baht for a seat. The ride will take about 3,5 to 4 hours.

I have actually taken the train from Hua Hin to Bangkok. It is a nice train with soft reclining seats. I think it was second class. It was cheap. I found it safe. I traveled at night and fell asleep.

The ferry to Pattaya is pretty good as well.

I have suggested Bell Travel service. Their buses are clean and on time. You sit up high and do not see the chaos below.

I accessed Bell Travel Service at your suggestion but found their site difficult to use so went to the Easy Taxi FB page which was a lot easier. At that point I was open minded about using a taxi or bus. I will try harder next time.

Thai taxi drivers are reckless in case of long drive. I always prefer Air-con buses for long travel. Safe, comfortable and nice. Thai highways are really smooth and constructed well. So for long travel bus is the better option.
