There's a big difference with chicas in the tourist areas and normal chicas. Normally chicas are not looking to have relationships with foreigners. Chicas in tourist areas understand that dealing with gringos is a part of their hustle. They are noticeably more sociable to these type of guys.

Santiago is the Manhattan of the Dominican of republic. Women there tend to have a more Sadity attitude especially to gringos. Unless you speaking the language of "spending your dineros", they are more interested in handsome / high value men of their own culture.

90 minutes on Caribe tours for me. Took it this past Tuesday. Santiago to Central Puerto Plata. I guess it could be another hour to Sosua if traffic was horrible.

Sorry, do not know of Noah or other restaurants. I used to be a regular in Santiago but now prefer Sosua because of its smaller footprint and also because I have a wide selection of food choices. Italian, German, French and the real kind I. E, run by the natives from those countries. Santiago was too crowded for me, especially without a beach.

The reason why I know of the two locations you had mentioned is because, I used to go there but always with women.

How long are you going to be in Santiago and are you also going to other places? I can find from someone I know who lives there, about bars / club but perhaps you can send me a PM so we do not bother the others.

She was dynamite in bed. Definitely seeing her again when I fly out of Santiago. I also went on a second seeking date with a Dominicana knockout. We went to a nice lounge and had bottle service with her knockout friends. I'm sure I was there to pick up the tab as a test but I had to pinch myself while I was partying with these beautiful women. 150 pesos to go to POP / Sosua with Caribe tours. Busses every hour. Takes the highway 5 route. Easy peezy!

There are casas around I hear but have never had any reason to use those but perhaps others who have used those services can chime in on that. In my experience there's tiers of so called "non Pros". Meaning girls who do not do this as their sole source of income and don't hang out in Hoe pick up spots like El Conde or Pedro Clisante.

Tier #3. Mercenaries.

Mercs are chicas who may or may not have a job and usually have a boyfriend or husband who usually knows what they are doing. These are girls you'd meet at say a coffee shop in the tourist area either working there or "just happens"to be there. Usually speaks some to decent english. A Merc is all business she doesn't want to be seen with you in public and as soon as you say Ï'm Coming". She's going. 'nuff said.

Tier #2 The reservist.

The Reservist will usually have a job not have a claimed significant other (or a very understanding one) will hang out with you non sexually in public and is willing to do non sexual tasks for you I. E cooking, cleaning, Teaching spanish and dance, negotiations, and procuring other women for you. This is tier 2 but it's really Tier 1. You want a girl that you pay that doesn't lovebomb or gaslight you instead of one playing on you and trying to turn you into a western union novio. If she procures other women for you try to fuck her from time to time because she knows that she's not losing you to another woman and she's less likely to send a bad chica to you if she knows that she has to answer to you or blows you over a bad chica.

Usually I pay around 1500 to 2000 DOP plus taxi but if I'm spending the day with a reservist then I usually give 1000 for the sex and around 300 pesos rounded up to 7 hours plus taxi.

Tier #1 the Regular.

The regular is the one that the delusional monger thinks they want but actually don't want. The regular is a "girlfriend" whenever a girl asks to become a regular I always say "give me free pussy" and usually they balk because the way you start with a girl is the way you finish with them. The reason you don't want a regular is because you become married, Yes you don't have to fish out 25 to 50 bucks per fuck but the money asks on the backend tend to be substantial. In the "third world" it's much cheaper to not keep her and you lose the ability to fuck other women in country as she will find out about your side trips to Sosua and elsewhere. And just because you're faithful while in country doesn't mean that she's faithful while you're away; Hoes got to eat.

Yeah, I'm totally against the family pilling on. But I think it's also on the girl to protect her investment against the freeloaders. Once the family gains influence into the relationship through her, you lose out and so does she. I like a girl who understands that family shouldn't have access to beg for favors but she is well taken care of and she will extend gratitude to the family. I might slip mom a few dollars but the brothers, cousins and even dad should not have direct assess to me to ask for favors. If that line is not drawn the relationship will end.

As I always say, "No" is the hardest word to say, and it especially applies to relationships in the DR.

Most of the common problems of mongers, visitors and ex-pats come down to either the inability to say no, or the lack of consistency in applying it.

Sport fuckers, point and click mongers, weekend warriors don't run in to this problem so much, but a lot of these mongers become regular visitors and some of us become residents who want more than an unemotional mechanical hour with a sex worker, and the problems they sometimes bring. They, (we) develop relationships with chicas who satisfy them, and like the reliability and even companionship of one or more steady and predictable chicas.

Guy's like me and OldKool would fall into that category, and a lot of frequent visitors, and ex-pats here are looking to find that situation, a "regular" chica who can bring reliability, stability, predictability and guaranteed satisfaction to their lives. She can even develop into a "girl friend", more or less what you would like to find back home.

In the DR, being what it is, she can also give you access to her friends, extended family, so you can have variety too, including newbies, and freshies just starting out on their P4 P careers.

This kind of setup requires time and experience, and is not easy to find. I have found it only twice here, a former 7 year relationship, and my present 5 year chica. But being retired, and living here, I've had all the time in the world to make it work for me.

Of course, you can't have that kind of solid relationship without have at least some basic interaction with her kid and / or family. Just giving her a little money for her birthday party, or attending, gets you there. You might want to join her to visit her folks up in the hills, to see how they all live, and enjoy the hospitality. If her mother's in town for a medical appointment, you might want to give her a ride to the hospital.

And that's where the problem arises for most guys I talk to.

You'll inevitably be asked to help financially with some family problem. How and when to say no becomes important.

But if you are giving her birthday and Navidad gifts, it becomes harder to say no to minor emergency medical expenses for her, her kid, and her mother. Most guys are human, and see no problem with helping out. But that can lead to further dependency and expectations. The road to hell. Everybody down there gets sick at some time.

Where and how you draw the line is important, and you have to be consistent, and firm.

It's the only way that works.

But unfortunately, there's no User Manual for that.
