I am planning to visit Thailand in May, assuming there isn't another surge and that the country remains open. I have my fingers crossed that I won't have to quarantine on Days 1 and 5 for my PCR test under the Test and Go program.

I have noticed that many of the girls on TF have numbers instead of names as headers on their profiles. For example, "061xxxx711" is a very cute spinner.

Are these numbers their Line IDs? Or their numbers on WhatsApp? I tried plugging in a number on WhatsApp and it did not work (a typical Thai phone number is 10 digits long and begins with a 0, but some of the numbers are more than 10 digits, and WhatsApp numbers have to begin with +66, and there would be no zero, I think).

Incidentally, Pinalove has the same phenomena. WhatsApp is very popular in the Philippines, but many of the numbers are in the wrong format.

In Thailand there is a scam going on. They give false positives and make you quarantine by billing you 60 k to 120 k baht. I said I cannot affort 120 k, so they came down to 60 k. Just tell them you will dial 1330 number and land up in governement hospital / hotel. I am not sure if they give you hotel if you dial 1330.

Make sure you get a thai sim card at airport from dtac or any other company. I did not get that and so I had no way to contact 1330. Anyways, I chose the luxurious hotels and paid 60 k. But first of all, I had no Covid, I just had a bad throat my friends. They just see your symptoms and show you positive. I was negative when I left India as I had to do a test before leaving India.

Take insurance of Tune company only. They are good. Swasdee AXA is also good but they do not support some hospitals. Kluayumthai hospital ambulance came to pick me up and they did not support cashless, so I had to pay cash and now waiting if they can return the money. They say already so so so many claims that it can take 15 days to just process this claim.

Now my friends were quarantined in a new way. They were told not too serious and then 5 day quarantine. This way the insurance company do not have to pay at all. Only you have to pay!

W21 hotel is the scammer who gave false positive. Citadine hotels are empty, so they want people paying for daily rooms. The best thing is to avoid coming till there is no Corona.
