Why not just tell them all you're there for 3 months and thinking of coming back as a digital nomad. That way their eyes light up thinking they have hooked a guy who is both employed and thinking of living in Thailand full time. Nothing else in Thailand is the truth why should you be the first to be truthful?
I assume you're in Thailand. Thai girls don't want to waste their time talking to lonely guys for free if you're not in town or will at least be there in the next few days.

Thanks to BananaBoi and DownandUp for responding. I am not in Thailand, but headed there soon on business. I won't start chatting with the girls until 2-3 days before travel. I was talking about my experiences in January 2020, not recently. I think the idea of just telling what I want is the best. There are a lot of girls in BKK; I guess that a handful will contact me by Line. As for misrepresenting myself, and my intentions, I am certain that would work too. All I would need to do is tell them I am looking for "serious" and even toss in the word "marriage". I typically say I am looking for a girlfriend, and have had a few hang on to me for a few years, but my lack of fidelity usually turns them off.

Yes, Random on the second floor of Nana Plaza is one of those go-go bars converted into a club for now where the girls wear various cute outfits and, in my experience and observation at least, most of the better lookers don't barfine. Stopped the "Wood bar" about 8:30 pm tonight (22nd Feb 2022) and talked to "Nook".
