I had exactly the same impression again last night. It was supposedly the owner / manager's birthday and I bought her a drink. Sitting next to me and chatting a bit, I asked her if all of her girls barfine. She took a longer time to answer that simple question than I would think necessary and finally said Yes but some will only do Short Time.

However, my experience at Random in Nana Plaza has been if the girl is notably hotter than the average girl in that room, she will have some excuse for not getting barfined and leaving with me or, based on my observation, anyone else at any time during bar open hours. And she'll have to rush off to wash her hair and get her nails done after the bar closes as well.

As always for others out there, YMMV and I can't dismiss the possibility that it might be my hideous ugliness, poor hygiene, total lack of communication skills, zero sense of humor and no spending money in my pocket as the reason for it in my case.

I wonder if there's been a change in their modus operandi? Last night had a different feel, and there was significant hand-in-hand traffic out the door. I didn't try to barfine, though. There definitely was a lot of ladydrink hustling. No cute costumes, and the place was packed, which was pretty unusual.

Would like to hear a bit more about Udomsuk and Chatuchak, Dragooner, would be nice to have some options outside of the 'hubs' as you call them.

For Chatuchak, there is Pancake Spa by the Lad Phrao MRT.

Udomsuk, go to USB Spa if you don't mind a short taxi from the BTS or have your own vehicle. Also lots of fiwfan freelancers use hotels along the BTS (Bang Chak to Udomsuk station) as their incalls.

Most importantly, use reviews and info from Thai websites. The ones in English tend to be inaccurate, as Farangs are super confused that instead of wild PSE they get shy and reserved ladies who might not even FS.

Depends how important the "tourism" part of your trip is and what you want to do in the non mongering time. Of the 3 BKK is the most interesting from a general tourism perspective and AC is the least. BKK has temples, culture, great dining, clubs etc. AC is a dilapidated third world shit hole with nothing to do outside fucking and drinking. Its ok for 3-4 days at most. PP is not quite as desolate as AC but not as good as BKK. For mongering if you want friendly English speaking girls with BBFS the norm, then its hard to beat AC, even with the higher prices and lower mileage in bars than the good old days. BKK has a large selection of pretty girls, but feels more commercial. Haven't played in PP so can't compare but seems again half way between AC and BKK.

Nice comparison among the 3 SEA places. I personally prefer PP over AC, despite the lack of English in PP. I find PP girls much friendlier, and easier to deal with. Not to mention the large presence of nice French restaurants and French bakeries, a foodie paradise in that part of the world. I also found AC girls to be a bit sneakier, and more money hungry.

I don't know, I've actually had a pretty good time with online during covid. Great looking girls and excellent prices. I'd say it's the best time I've had in quite a few years. I'm not going to be thrilled to see the hordes return.

Even though online schemes haven't worked out for me I won't be happy to see the hordes return either. Covid was pretty nerve-wracking for me because of travel restrictions, but the way Thailand was becoming overcrowded I'm not sure I would still be in Thailand if it hadn't been for Covid.

Right. I've been (mostly) lurking these forums in preparation for my first ever trip next month. I find it interesting that a lot of people are singing the praises of the period when Bernard Trink's nightlife column in the Bangkok post was retired, when his column was seen as anachronistic and out of place in the new Bangkok.

I'm willing to bet that on your first trip in 1988, there was at least one person who told you that you'd missed out by not being around during the Vietnam war are and are era.

Probably first visit is always the best one so that means I've got a lot to look forward to next month. Thanks for all the posts, I will post reviews afterwards.

Pattaya is much better than BKK for cheap sex as a tourist.

I think that depends a bit on how old you are. In Pattaya and Phuket, one must compete with younger guys. Older guys are treated better in BKK, in my opinion.

Things are changing fairly rapidly. I was impressed with the selection at Twister last night, a considerable improvement in just a week's time. That said, still no nude dancing, which I'll be happy to see return.

I agree. The girl to guy ratio is pretty favorable now. I get attention from girls who would have ignored me in the past, and prices (and, I think, performance) are better.

In Cambodia and Philippines I was always treated like another tourist, but in Thailand I routinely had to explain that I was Chinese and not Thai. Still, I got a lot of local treatment and prices.

Considering a mongering + tourism trip next month but not able to decide between BKK Thailand or PP Cambodia or AC Philippines.

I have travelled a lot and mongered across the globe, so I am not a newbie. But I have not been to BKK or PP or AC.

I have RTFF on all these cities, but still need advice from someone who has been to all these cities and can provide a first hand insight.

Appreciate your help and as always I will contribute to the forum after I visit one of these destinations based on your suggestion.

Getting back on track with the purpose of this forum, I heard from my source at Soi 7 Biergarten that next door open-air bars will reopen on Saturday, 19 March 2022 (2565), after 3 days of penalty closure.

Not all, as some have been slapped hard, I. E. Besides the underage issue (evil customers & bad mamasans in my opinion), some employees have no Thai ID (illegals), and some have no license or improper business papers (especially, Covid restrictions).

Now, don't you all rush down there and bottleneck the entrance. (You can use the 2nd entrance further up the street.)..

Thanks. Thought of going back there after skipping the place for 2 months. Now I would probably avoid due to illegals or improper business papers. Got many more places to go.
