Are you guys talking about normal chicks here or chicks that you are paying? I am in Peru now with a normal chick. After all you have been going to this church and giving your money for 3 years, so you are entitled to know right? Yet sounds like you went thru a lot of drama with your "normal girl", which could of been avoided depending on how you managed your phone, and this is in essence what I, and the other poster were referring to as to how to avoid drama. Unless of course you like drama, and some guys do.

I see no difference between girls we pay and normal girls, I say this in my case as the less they know about me, the better, except for what I want to share with them.

Punctuality, visual presentation and skills during horizontal activities. In my experience, high end professionals are always wary on the first meeting in case you behave in a way they don't like. This is probably because they've met men who've behaved unpleasantly and want to be ready in case it happens again.

Are you able to share the rough costs for these girls? If it's a personal question, then feel free to ignore. But I think it would be very useful for others to get a ballpark figure.

Prices varied. The darker skinned girls from Bello quoted me 300 k. The lighter skinned and better educated college girls wanted 400 k. One wanted 600 k but settled for 500 k.

I use to sit it the back of taxis / uber / didi but have started sitting in the front for safety and guessing that's maybe why uber has been making you sit in the front. A drive up / by robbery will know for sure your a tourist / target if sitting in the back with the front seat open. If you're in the front, it looks more like 2 locals. Unless your stopped and they're able to stop next to you and look in. Just my opinion and I know it's rare but does happen.

As for which service is best. When I was here in December, Uber seemed to work best but last few months didi has been better for me.

There has been a lot of resistance to Uber, since it first showed up in Colombia. The taxi drivers were upset at the competition, frequently violently upset. Uber drivers have been beaten up and had their cars trashed.

That's the only reason why you'll usually be asked to sit in the front seat.

While on the subject, Taxi, Uber, Didi, InDriver and all other drivers for hire really appreciate it when you close the car door gently. It's not so much that they appreciate it, it's that they get quite upset when you slam the door. I've seen drivers get out of their taxi and start screaming at someone who slammed the door.

I might've worded it wrong or you misread it. Either way, yes I realize locals get robbed and also take uber. All I was really trying to say is that you're more of a target sitting in the back by yourself. Even the cops are more likely to stop and search you if you're sitting alone in the back. Not that I have anything to hide, but some do. Again, just my opinion.

Uber in Colombia used to have you sit in front because Uber was not legal and they had to make it look like it was just two friends in a car. And not like a taxi with a passenger in the back.

Oh ya, I remember Uber being illegal here. But it's not anymore and they were still making TedFerguson sit in the back recently. I actually quoted him incorrectly on my post as I was just trying to just quote the taxi part of his post.

In Thailand they've got what's called the "taxi mafia" that control a lot of taxi service there and companies like Grab (they bought Uber out there a few years ago) won't / cannot pick you up in certain places (Bus depots, big taxi stands), but I haven't seen anything like that here.

Um no. They make you sit up front because Uber is completely illegal in Colombia. That is the reason, and should be food for thought.
