That's totally not true. One of the classic ways that people try to put Scandallo down is by saying that only mostly foreign tourists go there. If that were the case, then the place wouldn't survive. It needs a steady Brazilian clientele to survive. Every time I've been there it's almost all Brazilian men (and women of course). I agree. Every time I have been there, all the guys are usually talking Portuguese and they even have their favorite girls they hang out with. Sitting at the bar right as you enter, you see the interaction between the guys and the girls they know. They are definitely locals and not tourists. There is absolutely no way tourists could keep a place open like Scandello.

As for the quality. I haven't been to the other places because I always seem to find what I am looking for at Scandello and don't see a need tk go somewhere else.

I've never been to Scandallo. On the local forums there are very few positive reports about Scandallo. I've gringo buddies who lived and worked in São Paulo for almost 30 years. They told me it's a upscale club with very expensive GP's, but with a quality that's not impressive. In this thread it seems like it's paradise. Maybe the posters are impressed because they havn't gotten laid for ages, have very few other brazilian puteiros to compare with or simply because they feel the need an excuse to why they need to pay a months salary to get laid. It reminds me of the Centauros mongers in Rio. They overpayed a lot and wrongly thought they got the best quality. However, as I wrote, I've never been in Scandallo and I might be totally wrong. Is that a question or you know it is accurate? My post is during pandemic. Perhaps that has changed recently. I think there are two types of girls. I agree with you that one should not walk away only because of price. I was able to get some of them for 500 and it is not just me. I have never been quoted more than 800. It maybe because my taste is not the same as other so I don't chase the same top girls. I also don't dress as nice as others. I suspect that may have something to do with price. LOL. The Ueber cost over 60 reais at 6 pm from Itaim. The return trip after 9 pm was less than half that. Ueber may have increased their rates at peak hours.

Plenty of girls at Scandallo but also plenty of men. Most men seemed to have come only to chill but you still saw many of them doing rooms after a while. When I left shortly after 9 pm crowds were arriving: taxis bringing customers, taxis bringing girls, also quite a few girls driving their own car. The place was already crowded when I left but it must have become more so later. In the past I had only visited shortly after opening time and didn't realise how crowded it could get. I can't stand crowded atmospheres for long, whether in a go-go bar in Thailand or in a high-end club like this one.
