Avoid if you can. I returned from Bangkok and Pattaya last week only. Only Soi11 in Bangkok is active all the bars and clubs close around 1. 30 AM which used to close at 4 AM. The quality of girls in clubs as well outside is nothing to write about. In Bangkok out of 10 you'll find 7 ladyboys so be extra cautious if you're going there. Only action is in Soi 11 and adjoining streets.

Coming to Pattaya it's all deserted. The famous walking street gets closed at 2 as compared to what is used to get closed at 4 again. The nashaa club is closed. Only Kamaa and few other clubs are active.

In my opinion you should delay and plan it in the month of July as they were saying that everything will return to normal in July as it was during Pre COVID.

I'm planning for a Thailand trip hence require inputs from the experienced folks. What places to visit? How much damages should one expect?

How many days to spend in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket or other places?

Any suggestions / recommendations are welcome..

Contrary to the general opinions here about now not being the ideal time to visit LOS, I would state that NOW is the best time to visit LOS, as there are lesser customers & Thai WG's are desperate for money.

My usual hunting ground has been Pattaya, & I escape BKK & Phuket altogether as BKK is too mainstream, & Phuket isn't worth it when compared to Pattaya.

1) In Pattaya, you can stay at Amari Nova Suites, or if you have a higher budget, than at any of sea facing properties on Beach Road.

2) Install ThaiFriendly and take a paid membership. 90% of Girls on it are WG's, so be upfront about your needs.

3) Install Line, which is Thailand's go to messaging app. Take the conversation from Thaifriendly to Line.

4) Normal rates are 1000/1200 Baht for Short Time / ST (Single shot at your place). You can always negotiate for 2 shots for 1500/1800 Baht.

5) Visit Soi 6, which is a street filled with Bars. Each bar has 5/10 girls, who keep waiting outside for customers. You can have drinks, offer any girl you like a lady drink, negotiate rates with her & can take her upstairs for Boom-boom after paying a nominal barfine. There are short time rooms nearby where you can take them as well.

6) You can pick up street hookers from beach road, ranging from 400/ ST to 1000/ ST, depending on the girl. Just stay away from Ladyboys, who can turn aggressive once in the room. Look for Adam's apple, which is a giveaway with Lady boys. You can also ask directly if you doubt anyone, as they don't usually lie about it.

13) Being a fellow Indian, here are some tips which might be of help: a) Never travel in groups of more than two. B) Don't haggle with girls. If you don't like her rates, just move on to other one. C) Thailand is Humid, hence shower twice-thrice a day. Wear clean clothes, with a good perfume if feasible.

14) Always use protection. Pattaya is an international mongering destination, where mongers from all nationalities come & dump their loads into these girls, & most of them like it bareback. So for your own safety, always use condoms. Take your own condoms, & pills if need be. Although most are available in 7/11 shops, but size might be an issue.

15) Phuket is good, but quieter than Pattaya, with less choices available, at higher prices.

16) Food is not an issue with decent choices available. Install Happycow app if you wish to have Vegan / Vegetarian food in Thailand.

17) In general, Thai girls are eager to please, hygienic, & have a caring attitude. Just be nice to them, & they may go out of the way & do your clothes, cook food for you & so on. Something that India girls can't imagine doing for clients in 100 years.

18) There are long term stays available in condos, which are apartments on lease. They are cheaper than hotels, but no room service is available as a downside.
