There was this bar, that was early mentioned in Brazilian forums back in 2012-2014, it was the "Spy Bar" I also visited as part of my World Cup 2014 scouting. A very odd name indeed. The manager showed me the place as well, it was a nice place, smaller that Scandallo or Cafe Photo. At 20:30 when I arrived there was only one table with clients and 4 girls, all GPS of course. People find and attach different values to the same things all the time, depending on all kind of factors, some of those unique and intrinsic to them alone as people. And sometimes through an experience, the value that they decide to assign to a particular good or service can change based on said experience (the point of me telling how my views on what I am willing to pay for air travel changed). Given this reality about life and living, the central point is that it makes zero sense to come in here and chide people about ever paying more than 500 reals for the services of a prostitute in Brazil. It's like saying never pay this much for a car, this much for a haircut, this much for a house, this much for a meal, this much for a plane ticket, and blah, blah, blah. The online rate for a good looking girl usually starts at 600 BRL. Based on that, it is fair from my view to think an attractive girl can ask for 600 BRL in Scandallo. In addition to that, a girl has to pay a fee to get in the club, so 800 BRL is not an unreasonable price to pay for a hot girl. That was the exact price one of the hottest girls I met in Scandallo charged online and in the club. I posted her picture before and I saw her go to the room multiple times with limited service. I remember her name is Naomi.

I just came from a vacation in Cancun and it is utter monger hell. Worse than my town in the USA. I knew that Cancun isn't the place to monger before I went but I was bored and decided to try my luck. The girls charge outrageous prices and the experience is terrible. I really don't understand some of you guys.

I've met some forum posters out on the field who make over $150 k+ a year and balk at the idea of paying a girl anything over 500 BRL otherwise they were the ones getting fucked.

I know this is the SP forum, but due to the recent discussion by knowledgeable BA mongers, I want to ask:

Last post about BA from me, but the random tidbits in this thread helped salvage my trip so I wanted to share what I can and repay the favor.

Going off of the suggestions here I tried a few girls off of the bairesgirls site. I was able to find some information in Spanish to cross reference a few of them, and setup some appointments. When you text one of these girls they have a generic message they send outlining the details of their service. You let them know if you want a half hour or an hour, when, and then set a date. The first girl I saw definitely hit me with a gringo tax, likely from seeing my US number, but even so it came out to $50 for an hour with anal included so I didn't want to argue it. The next three were cheaper, and it seems 10,000 pesos is the standard for an hour. That works out to about $35 at current Western Union rates. In terms of looks I'm very particular, but all of the girls I saw were good looking and matched their photos. I've used agencies before, but never individual online ads so that was a pleasant surprise. In terms of service, while none were outright bad I found I was really getting see+ effort. Only one was something I'd consider repeating. In terms of service it offered no competition to Brazil.

I was pretty spent today as I'm now trying to fit a weeks worth of hobbying into 2. 5 days, but I just paid a visit to the'Lirio for research purposes. The doorman tells me its 2,000 for a table or 3,000 for a booth with some portion being consumable. In terms of other venues I really can't find anything concrete online, which is a shame because I'm very much in the mood for a strip club. Western Union is absolutely the best rate to change money. Currently they will give you 322 pesos per dollar, whereas a local shop will offer you somewhere around 300 pesos per dollar, and really only for crisp $100's. $50's they tend to offer a few pesos less. The downside is almost every Western Union will ask how much you're trying to pick up, and then tell you they don't have the money. For my first transfer I only tried to get $500 worth, and literally only one shop in the city that I could find had the cash for even that small amount. The wait time was several hours in line, but unfortunately because I arrived via Brazil I had almost $0 as I would just hit up the ATM every other day. In my opinion, the "best" option is to bring stacks of $100's, find a shop that offers a fair rate, and change them as needed.

Never ever pay for anything with a credit card. Currently the official rate is 130 pesos per dollar, and that's what any credit card transaction will use. Paying in pesos Argentina is reasonably cheap, paying with a credit card prices are more expensive than in the US. That also means you'll be overpaying for your hotel. I stayed in a five star hotel and it cost me just shy of $600 per night. The nice restaurants definitely accept pesos. I was not asked for dollars anywhere, and I didn't offer.

It took me roughly five days to get settled in in BA. Today was not bad, and if I had another week I think it would be a decent time. A third week would probably be disappointing, as the talent pool is a bit on the small side. Argentinian women are exactly my type, and walking the city I saw the two best looking women I've ever seen in person. People talk about 10's a lot, and I've seen plenty of 8's and 9's with stellar makeup, but I've never actually seen a genuine 10 in person before visiting Argentina. Here I saw one just out in the wild acting like regular people. With that said, given all of the hurdles and apparent lack of options, I couldn't recommend it as long as Brazil is on the table. Thanks for all interesting tibits on BA. As a recent frequent traveler to SP, Buenos Aires has intrigued me.

BA has many pluses for me. It is a short hop away, is a large cosmopolitan city (lots of good restaurants, high end hotels and presumably decent infrastructure) and Spanish speaking (My Spanish is way better than my Porto).

However, the ISG Argentina forums is a graveyard for recent info. The confusing / more complex exchange rate system (having to use Western Union or street black market for best rates) is an annoying obstacle.

There also doesn't seem to be places like Scandallo in BA. I prefer to see the girl in person and interact with her to see if we have chemistry and whether my service requests can be met by her. That is why I usually avoid online incall / outcalls escorts and usually only use brothels / clinicas as a backup option. At least in those, you can see how a girl really looks in person before deciding.
