Just trying to apply some more logic to the pricing strategy. LOL.

The situation from 2019-2021 was: in-house: 500 BRL takeout: 1000 BRL.

So what changed? One change is the club has been remodeled. Similar event occurred at La Isla in Medellin, that the cover is increased by 400% and the drink prices have increased significantly. Both places have no shortage of customers, so the price is not likely to come down. BTW, I have been to both places after remodel.

...However from mid / end 2021 suddenly there was a huge price increase (same time when entry was raised from 300 to 400 BRL) to in-house: 700-1000 BRL takeout 1200-1500 BRL with the Top10 girls on any night even trying in-house 1000-1500 BRK takeout: 2-3 k BRL.

Session in La Isla is fixed price. How does a better looking girl make more money? One short answer is she will have more working opportunities at a given night. Her income is proportional to the number of sessions she has.

One possibility in the change of pricing structure, is some girl decided that they can/want to get the same amount of money with less work / sex. And that is fueled by mongers who want exclusive access. Another ISGer reminded me that sharing is cheaper that was the old way he is used to.

So when I take the above into consideration, FewDie's post have some truth to it. I am not saying I agree with everything he said.

If you have been to some of the KTVs in Asia, especially the high end ones. There is a sharing price that a girl will visit different tables/rooms for a fixed amount of time then move on. This is cheaper. If one decides to keep a girl and not allow the girl to be shared with others, then one has to pay a premium, and commits to a minimum number of hours regardless the amount of time you spent there.

...This has nothing to do with gringo pricing as mostly brazilians are paying those prices....

Although there are girls telling me some locals pay that and I believe it but I won't genialize it. I think people are responding negatively to FewDie's generalization in his posts.

I totally disagree with your assessment. Food court? Please this just shows how much you are exaggerating. I found the Scandallo sushi roll, salmon shasimi, fila apertivo and the grilled Salmon to be very good.

I also found the food at Scandallo to be very good, at least what I ordered.

I usually order some fritters to snack or the filet mignon when I want a real meal. Their caldo capeletti is also a good option for hot comfort food.

The sushi is high quality, almost similar to Nakka. I don't know which all you can eat Sushi place Vagabundo1 is referring to, but a local Asian girl who is a big foodie took me to this place in Libertade and it was very good:

People here seems to think that Scandallo is "heaven" or something and thinks it has sooooo many beautiful people. The false / enhanced illusion is coming from the high quality sound of the music, ambient / lighting, good restaurant, the elegant clothings, and their makeup. Take all of that away and once you push everyone of them in to a swimming pool, they will be coming up looking like everyone else you see in the bottom half of the country which is where the majority of them came from. Scandallo is fun but overexagerated like eating that Big Mac and fries for the first time.

Thanks for all interesting tibits on BA. As a recent frequent traveler to SP, Buenos Aires has intrigued me.

BA has many pluses for me. It is a short hop away, is a large cosmopolitan city (lots of good restaurants, high end hotels and presumably decent infrastructure) and Spanish speaking (My Spanish is way better than my Porto).

However, the ISG Argentina forums is a graveyard for recent info. The confusing / more complex exchange rate system (having to use Western Union or street black market for best rates) is an annoying obstacle.

There also doesn't seem to be places like Scandallo in BA. I prefer to see the girl in person and interact with her to see if we have chemistry and whether my service requests can be met by her. That is why I usually avoid online incall / outcalls escorts and usually only use brothels / clinicas as a backup option. At least in those, you can see how a girl really looks in person before deciding.

I also don't have the time or flexibility to go the SB / Seeking route. I am usually only in the city for a few days at a time so it's not the best ROI for my limited time.

I just returned from BA and a few other cities, was skiing with family so I cannot answer all.

Not sure on current mongering spots, as I was with family. Lots of massage flyers everywhere. I did notice some BA providers in Massage Republic quote in pesos, today I saw some at 10,000-15,000 pesos. (10,000 today is about $32). In dollars they quoted $100 ish.

I have been there 5-6 times, half the sex workers are Brazilian and Uruguayan anyway. I have found Brazilians better providers.

Bring cash, WU is a backup if you are uncomfortable bringing cash or need more than 10 K and are traveling alone.

You can definitely change back at a price 10%-15% less than you were given (less the peso market change as well). I found in BA use Calle Florida, it totally safe or there is a great spot in Puerto Madero that actually pays about 6 cents more. , it is on Hilton side of the water, on the pedestrian walk next to the water about 4-5 doors down from Central Market. Every decent sized city I went to had street money changers, though they offered close to 10% less than BA. Usually outside of BA there were 3-4 people, seemed to be a Cambio Mafia with price fixing. One good tip is to insist on 1,000 peso notes, they will stick you with 200 and 500 if you let them. Only bring perfect $100 bills, preferably with a blue stripe. Imperfect bills with small imoerfections will either not be accepted or will be offered much less.

4) Are the nice 5 star hotels in BA girl friendly?

I always stay at either Hilton or Alvear Palace and have never had issues. The Hilton is especially good as the elevators do not require a key to access.

I would advise.

Never prepay your hotel in dollars. Either reserve now pay later on Booking.com or another OTA or book through a major hotel chains website, only putting up your card as a guarantee. I paid every hotel in Pesos, I think you pay a local tax but the discount is about 50%. AirBnB and VRBO properties only want to be paid via international credit card in foreign currency as the money likely never touches an Argentine bank.

Pay every restaurant in pesos.

For domestic air travel, you can pay Aerolineas Argentinas in pesos but they are more expensive than the more popular "ULCCs" who only sell online. I was able to make a deal with a Calle Florida exchange office to use his local debit card for flights and meet him halfway between the official rate and the blue rate. I wish I had time to figure out transatlantic 1st Class at a 50% discount.

For Uber switch to cash for the trip.

6) With all the extra logistical obstacles BA has compared to SP, is it even worth it to go for a short trip, especially when the cost of hobbying there seems comparable.

Financially it is a great time to go, but the BA weather is close to freezing.

Scandallo food and fine dining.

A fellow ISGer and one of the great wingmen, JimmyBoy, was of the opinion that the main value of going to Scandallo is to use the entrance fee to eat a good meal, and that the food was good.

Of course, JimmyBOy and I tend to concur that the best bang for the buck in SP is in the clinicas, like Miruna in Moema, where you can find real porn stars like Kamila Werneck (retired, though she still tramps around).

For the price of. What, 250 reais or so, which is 50 US Dollars, which is the main reason to come to Brazil, to find those diamonds in the clinicas who are true porn star quality. This is my answer, I didn't find BMW at all during multiple visits with the presence of other ISGers. I think we all came to similar conclusion so I know it's not just me during that period. One time I stayed to make sure I checked everywhere and everyone until it is near the closing time to pick the best I can find which is a Honda Accord. She asked for 500 BRL which is a fair price for an Accord. LOL.


For me, the value of Scandallo stood out after I have visited all the boates that were open at that period of time. Relatively speaking, it has the best value but pick wisely

I always go to Brasil bearing gifts LOL. Just think of stuff that is super expensive in Brazil or that they can't buy there.
