I'm curious is anyone has an opinion about the quality of the experience of Scandallo vs Cafe Photo. I have read a lot of posts from fellow mongers raving about Scandallo, but I haven't seen much on Cafe Photo. I'll be traveling next week to So Paulo, and my hotel is roughly 10 min from Cafe Photo while Scandallo is 40 min away. Is it worth the extra 30 min drive to get to Scandallo or is Cafe Photo basically the same?

Again, you seem to be missing my point there, which was a narrow one. Let me say it another way. That part of what I wrote was really only mainly an aside about how the value that people place on a good or service can change because of an experience they had. ...

I think I understand you. The first time that I went to Scandallo, I was prepared to splurge because it was a brand new experience. Since I never find anything that matched my expectation from reading the forum, the value has decreased. In my response to Bearsi, I wasn't saying he was wrong, I just suggested based on my understanding what maybe a better analogy.

I just checked. Prices from both US coasts to Sampa are about 1200 for coach, 3500 for business and 8-12 k for first. The difference is a lotta hours with a Scandallo garota LOL.

Same thing happening with the flights from Europe. I usually have paid between $2000 and $2500 and now the same tickets cost $3500. The prices have gone up with the fuel prices and travel industry recovering from Covid. It doesn't mean I have to say no to a Scandallo girl if I like her. Not much nice beaches in Santos. In any city in BR you will find working girls, why bring sand to the beach? Only if the price is right, multi days trip I offer no more than 1 k per day. If it is an exotic destination should be almost free LOL.

Later we were flying out of BsAs and sure enough, he's in coach. What's the deal I asked. He said, Did you see the crazy prices for First? I asked him how much money you have to have so that the fare difference is immaterial. " About 10 % more than you've got".

I just found round trip flights to GRU for 155,000 miles on United. Not too long ago it was just 120,000 miles. And it was even less than that during the worst of the pandemic. Got it covered easy either way hehehe! For my next upcoming long flight (it's not to Brazil) I found First Class seats on Delta for only 90,000 miles! Damn straight I booked that flight post haste months and months ago with Delta SkyMiles! Try to do it now and they would want over twice as much in miles (Delta is the worst for this kind of gouging sometimes)! It pays to look around and book early. It really, really does!

For anybody looking to get back to brasil ASAP on the cheap, Copa airlines has great deals on flights right now. Round trip from San Francisco to SP was 750 usd. My research tells me to avoid the main domestic carriers at all costs. Flights both domestic and international served on United, American, delta are all ridiculously priced at the moment.

Cane, I get what you are saying.

It is all about what one wants limited only by what one can afford. I estimate that I am likely in the upper middle to upper range of ISG'ers financially speaking too. But that does not mean I have unlimited finances. I wish I did, but I don't. So, what do I want to do with my spending money? Well, in order of importance to me:

#1. I like to travel 3 to 4 months per year and punt as often as I like (usually 1 or 2 times a day) when I am in one of my favorite countries.

#2. I want to shag the prettiest, sexiest girls available. I don't care how much they cost as long as what they are asking me is in the ballpark price range for the venue and quality of girl I am fooling around with. That means I will pay market price for a Scandallo tier 1 girl anytime I want a tier 1 Scandallo girl and I will pay market price for a clinica girl anytime I want a clinica girl and I will do any girl in between if I want her.

#3. Given I have adequate cash set aside for #1 and #2 (my highest priorities), I prefer to stay in 5* hotels and then 4* hotels. I have various hotel CC's and Gold and Platinum memberships with Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, so I get a lot of breaks on price with these boys like free point nights and free voucher nights plus these chains usually upgrade my reservation upon check-in to Excecutive class rooms and throw in free breakfasts. For example, I stayed at the SP Hyatt for 6 nights gratis in May and they upgraded my reservation to their 1 bedroom suite. It was a great deal.

On my upcoming 6 week SP trip this fall I have booked 6 nights at the Renaissance, 5 nights at the Hyatt, and 4 nights at the Hilton all on points. That still leaves a lot of nights unaccounted for and unfortunately, SP hotel rates have gone through the roof since I was last in town and I am not willing to shell out $200 to $300 per night on a 5 star hotel room. No problem, I have made reservations at some very nice 4 star hotels for around $100 per night. There is nothing wrong with my 4 stars. In fact, the rooms are quite nice and spacious and they have balconies which comes in handy on those nights when I am entertaining one of my sexy marijuanitas or she is entertaining me. KKK. Anyway, I think I made my point. I cut back on non-necessary expenses when I have to. If money were no object, I wouldn't care what the Renaissance or the Hyatt were charging and I would stay there.

#4. Plane travel: this is where my budget really hits the fan. I can't afford to do all that I want to do with #1, and #2 without being frugal on airfare. I like 1st class and business class especially on 24 hour flights to Thailand and the PI. But I can't afford everything on my list so no 1st class or business class for me. I do have miles with the big 3 US carriers and therefore I can usually fly coach for free except that extended legroom is a necessity for me, so I always pay cash for the upgrade. BTW, I hate flying and I especially hate flying coach, but flying 1st class would mean cutting back on #1 the length of my trips or # 2 the quality or quantity of my girls which is out of the question. Ha Ha.

So, that is how I prioritize my travel expenses based on my preferences and constrained only by my finances. I never spend more than I can afford to pay off on the due date. Nobody has exactly the same preferences or the same constraints. So, we all plan differently, but we all want to have the best time that we can afford.

Nor do I have unlimited finances. So, we all have to make choices right? I'm not crazy about flying either, but we all have to do it, especially if we want to travel internationally. I try to be as comfortable as I can, especially on those long flights. So, I'm almost always angling for the class of air travel with the most space that I can get and afford. But where I try to cut back is on my hotels and other expenses associated with the trip. So, typically I will choose a 3-star hotel, and sometimes a 4. I never rent cars and always take the least expensive means of local transportation available for getting around as long as it's not too inconvenient (not going to inconvenience myself to save an insignificant sum). That means usually relying on public transportation and / or relatively inexpensive taxis depending on where I am. In fact, I try to make sure my hotel choices are strategically placed to allow easy access to trains, subway stations, buses, plentiful taxis, etc. (I really need to start using Uber more).

I like to enjoy an occasional nice meal here and there, but I mostly keep meals cheap and inexpensive. And all so that I can have more cash on hand to do the #2 (shag the prettiest girls per my personal tastes)! But, our posts show how we're all different, even if we might be of similar economic means. You like to go for the higher end hotels and cut back on the air travel costs. On the other hand, I cut back on the hotel quality and spend more on the air travel portion. And then I do all sorts of other things to control my costs (as you and most others do) so that I have the money I'll need for lots of anal sex with lots and lots of Brazilian girls who I find to be very attractive LOLOLOL! And remember. If I'm getting that cuzinha 70% of the time? I'm bashing that buceta 100% of the time! OK? Hahaha! Carry on!
