It's my final days in Pattaya and being a little drained with the usual things I decided to conduct an experiment on Soi 6. I don't see anything suggesting prostitution "in a brothel" is illegal as your link suggested. Unless it is a brothel where the deed is on public display I suppose. Running a brothel, pimping as in helping someone procure a prostitute, living off the money someone else earns from prostitution, age-related, by force or coersion, etc, yes, I see those behaviors cited as illegal.

Indeed they are always in big groups. I also notice how handsy they are with one another. Arms around each other's shoulders walking and even holding hands or the forearms. Second Road is pretty much jacked up from those Indian businesses near WS, all the way until after the Base. If you take a 10 baht bus from Jomtien, it will detour on 16 behind Day and Night Hotel. So pay attention to save you a long walk. The area behind Avenue is totally jacked. They've pretty much managed to kill all the businesses on Buakhao 15 leading up to Buakhao. Nothing is alive back there. Immigration Jomtien was nice about handing me a 30 days extension to add onto my 60 day tourist visa. Cool! It may be another long "holiday" in Thailand once again. When you are a long stay tourist (not expat), it is totally different the price you pay for everything. You know so much more. Saw some Desi bros at the beach looking at a menu at one of those beach stalls with chairs and umbrellas. Asked them, if they see any kitchen around here? They said no. I'm wondering how that will play out in practice. Most Chinese are in prepaid packages, staying at Chinese owned hotels, taking Chinese guided tours, eating at Chinese owned restaurants ie some crumbs filter down to the local economy but the vast majority finds its way back into Chinese hands.

I'm not going to disagree about the circular flow of Chinese tourist yuan, but it relies on money entering the circle. Many Chinese will be worried they fall, or have fallen already into, one of several groups which do not boost optimism;.

Live in a city locked down at 24 ,or less, hours notice for a month.
