How is the quantity of freelancers on beach road in Pattaya and on sukumvit road in Bangkok? 50% of pre covid days or just 20%?

Not a Senior but off of my latest experience a month ago.

Standard / observed prices in Pattaya:

Beach Road / Freelancers - 1000 Baht. Not the greatest quality but solid. Take back to your Hotel / Condo or pay for ST hotel 300 Bajt.

Soi 6 Bars. Much better quality and a huge quantity. 1000 Baht + 400 Baht barfine (which includes room upstairs) If you buy a drink and a lady drink to start add 200-300. If a girl quotes you a higher price above standard that you are not willing to pay. Just move on to the next. It is a target rich environment.

GoGo. Big variations. Anywhere from 2000-4000 for ST and LT is 2000+ more, all depending on quality of the girl (or what she thinks her quality is. Doesn't always line up), Barfines 1500 before 11-12, half after 12.

IMO Soi Six is your best value to hotness, and you can party a little if need be.

Observed Prices in BKK -.

BJ bars - 800 Baht.

Oily Massage - 2000-2700 Baht depending on place / length of session.

Freelancers - 1000-1500 Baht + ST hotel or your abode.

Gogo ST 2500-5000 Baht, LT is harder to come by. BF - 1000-1500 depending on time and place.

Word of advice. Don't try to negotiate down from standard prices with Soi 6 and Freelancers, sours any vibe and 95% of the time they will refuse. Oilys + BJ bars are non-negotiable. GoGo girls might give an outrageous price, be willing to walk away if you think it's too much. If they are really interested / want the business, they probably will come down some. When I have just accepted the reasonable / standard price, the night / session goes much better.

On my first trip to Thailand I remember going with a pretty, young girl at a soapy massage parlour called Cristins in Phuket. Just take a look at the islamic world, all those guys are migrating all over the world and they don't give up on their faith. Europe America and rest of the western world will learn the hard way the lessons about maintaing ideas of race, nationality and religion just like we in India learnt it the hard way over 700 -1000 years of brutality. We still managed to retain atleast our religious identity in the face of continuous attacks and now have a national identity too. Race / ethnic identity were lost and is being completely destroyed with the advancement of GDP, growth, Modern economic theory in India. However it's almost impossible to get rid of religious and national identity here. People will just not put up with all the atheist, hippie, Marxist ideology here. So that's a good characteristic of Indians.

Well, I don't pay the big bucks either when I stay there or anywhere else decent. I accumulate 1 M+ hotel points, 700 K+airline miles, and 500 K credit card points per year off of client travel. Plus having lifetime top tier status gets me some pretty nice upgrades. The real issue is that the proletariat / plebs (who lets face it, many of which aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer) are very easily manipulated to turn against their own self-interest through nationalism, racism, religion, and a myriad of other "ism's."

While some of the Indian mongers might be pretty flush with cash, watching them try to negotiate down a beach road freelancer from the normal 1000 be is embarrassing and strikes me as loser cheap.

I am looking for the best looking spinners and my understanding is that I can score them in gogo's albeit at a bit higher price which I am not worried about. If some seniors can shed some light on accepted practices after covid would be helpful. My travel dates are 20th to 27th split between bkk / Pattaya. Much of ths is post covid turmoil and it's still going to be another year before the situation stabilises. I don't expect the bars to have a good high season as there won't be a great wave of visitors returning yet, many have to make their plans a year ahead and therefore covid weighed heavily as a risk so they might have abandoned their trip.

Then there are the girls who were looking for alternate work online during covid, I think that sites like Onlyfans have peaked in popularity this year and are now facing decline as people are able to travel. So as there's less money online then more will return to the bars. But not soon enough.

China is still under lockdown so you won't see their tourists and Indians are coming in to replace them. They won't feed the same amount of money into the city.

And finally, don't forget the global recession due to covid and the russian invasion of Ukraine, people are going to spend less and holidays are often the first luxury to go or else cut back on. But eventually the recession will drive more girls back to the bars as companies cut back and there's less work..

The global recession has nothing to do with Russia-Ukraine. It has everything to do with governments and central banks printing money for years and increasing the debt whilst kicking the can down the road. I'm in Samui now and yes the quality and quantity is low, but the girls that are here are so desperate I am getting whatever I want. There have been reports here claiming that Pattaya is going downhill since the board began. It's an easily explainable syndrome: a guy goes to Pattaya the first time and is totally impressed. But, after a series of visits, he gets used to it, and starts to notice some imperfections.
