Had 12 days here recently. Second trip here for me. This time was much better. Last trip was pre covid. A good tip for punters going here – download the Discord app. Doesn't work on apple devices – only android / google. Apple has some content restriction nonsense so annoyingly I couldn't open the app after downloading it onto my ipad. So had to use a windows PC – but the info is excellent and even shows photos of the current line up of girls working in each agogo / club / bar / gentleman's clubs. The guys on there also share great info of all sorts of things not just girls but on restaurants / taxis – literally everything. Tree Town.

For me the best area overall. Lively, lots going on. Some great beer bars with fabulous live music.

One or two good karaoke bars if that's your thing. Tried Escape (set up by the Buzzin Pattaya crew) but didn't much like it. It tries to be a bit of everything and I'm not sure it works. Tree Town has the usual large offering of massage parlours and I tried several which were excellent and good value.

Several ladyboy bars. Not my bag but to each their own and I was definitely fooled several times. I learned this trip that the ladyboys are not at all offended if you ask outright if they are a ladyboy. But I did proposition girls on two occasions who I would never have believed were ladyboys – stunning, fabulous thin bodies and without the tell-tale signs of large hands / Adam's apple / low voice. Each time they whispered in my ear that they were LBs and I politely declined.

Soi 6 hasn't changed at all in my view from several years ago. It still buzzes with hundreds of girls, many of them great options from mid afternoon until late. I had several sessions having just literally picked a girl from her looks on the street, straight inside, drink for her and me and off to the room upstairs. All good sessions. Prices were 1000 baht for the girl and 400 or sometimes 500 for the room. I didn't haggle. These prices compared to mongering in other parts of the world are unbelievably cheap. I try to respect that paying over the top increases the price for locals, so I did reject a couple of girls who tried it on with requests for 1500 bhat – and stayed firm on "I will go to the room right now if we agree 1000 baht but that's the price". On each such occasion the girl immediately conceded and off we went. On two occasions I gave a 250 baht tip after the event for great service.

Soi 7 is more relaxed that Soi 6 with some good options. A number of beer / pool bars, one in the middle of the street (Chor Leera) with a stunning little girl called Bee – she has a tattoo of her name on her arm. I insisted upon seeing her ID before I took her as she looks very young – but to my surprise she is 19. Body to die for but her service is "inexperienced" and I didn't repeat.

Decided out of no more than curiosity to visit The Castle – third road, almost on its own, which is a fetish club. You knock on the door and a pretty girl appears at the hatch to tell you it is 1000 baht just to enter – which will buy you one drink! Wow – expensive. So first time I politely declined and jumped on a bike back to Soi Lenkee – which also has some decent options. But my curiosity got the better of me and the next night I returned waving a 1000 baht note as the hatch was opened. You go inside to be greeted by about 10 girls all in sexy lingerie and you meet the Mistress – tall blonde Thai lady who is clearly not to be messed with. You get your drink and they position you on a seat for the start of the immediate personal show! Had not realised that was included in the price. They start tying a young pretty naked girl up in ropes and there are whips, canes, paddles and all sorts of equipment close by. Clearly inexperienced in the genre I tried to protest "please don't hurt that girl for me – I only wanted to come to see what this was all about". Not a good idea! Blonde Mistress orders all of the girls to their knees – by now 6 of them are topless. She turns to me and says "You are in my club. I am in charge now. Don't interrupt – just watch. " I lamely try to say this was meant to just be a bit of fun for me and can't we just have a drink and she howls laughing. 4 slaves are chosen by Mistress to remain kneeling but bend putting their asses in the air. She blasts out verbal orders and they all in unison scream "yes mistress". Whilst I was enjoying the sight of the four naked butts in front of me, I really wanted to halt the performance but realised that was not going to happen. Mistress proceeds to whip the asses of the four kneeling slaves and the breasts of the one tied up in ropes. Happily for me, she is pretty tame and it is clear this performance is not going to involve the girls suffering much pain. I was relieved at that, and when it was over.

I then got the guided tour of the place. There is every kind of implement, restraint, etc you can imagine. We get to the back of the club and to my surprise there is a naked guy tied up on a bench with his ass in the air. He was there all along without me noticing. As we approach the area where he was I tried to stop my host (the Mistress) saying I didn't want to intrude. Clearly not understanding the psyche of all of this she tells me he would not want me to miss out. She barks at him to request pain. He duly obliges and she selects a long bendy bamboo cane and must have cracked his ass with it no less than 20 times (I didn't count). Unlike with her female slaves there was no lack of effort this time and his ass was a mass of stripes quickly. I dared not attempt to intervene – she was not someone to pick an argument with – and in any event he appeared to be enjoying it!

Mistress takes to the bar, offers me another drink and asks whether I am sub or dom but suspects I am sub because I didn't want her slaves to be hurt. I know enough to know what this means but tell her that I really am not all that bothered about it and just was curious. This is clearly a disappointment to her. I think she quite fancied another bound guy to beat. She tells me that she thinks I would be more comfortable coming to the party on a Friday night. 1500 entry instead of 1000 but as many drinks as I want all night for free (not a bad deal) and shows every 30 minutes. She explains there will be at least 4 mistresses and one male Master. Wonderful (not! She said the club was busy with a lot of people – men and women on Fridays. I lied to her that this sounded a lot better for me as I would prefer to watch, and that I'll be back on Friday. I had no intention of returning but thought this was a polite way out until she asks me for a 500 deposit! I tell her that alas I need to check with pals if they will come to before I commit and I left. All very interesting and if domination / submission is your thing this is a very professional place where they are experts.

Back to the "normal" world. My main objective on this trip was to sample the Gentleman's clubs. I did a lot of research on them all from several of the excellent YouTube channels about them.

I won't report on every one of them – it would take a long time. But I tried M Club, Babylon, High Rollers, Maggie Mays, Camel Toe, Den, Purple Bar, The Cave and I suspect others I cannot remember. Without being unkind to any of them (I found Maggie Mays for example to be far too small), there is an absolute stand out club – High Rollers. It is slightly more expensive (drinks) than the other clubs but it was fabulous. You enter to gold pillars and surroundings – all very over the top but the quality of the girls in this place was, for me, better than in any of its rivals and moreover, better than most of the agogos on Walking Street. Two great pool tables – one downstairs the other upstairs, staff are mega friendly (though that was true everywhere). Some of the girls in HRs are 9's and 10/10's. Fom – stunningly beautiful with a knockout body – at only 1000 baht for upstairs and 500 for the room, she was too good to resist and I had several excellent sessions with her. But then I did so with a lot of girls in there. Highlight of my trip was my last visit – arrived early afternoon and had no less than 8 rooms before I left that night – one threesome and my final room with my favourite 4 ladies (a first for me). I am too old to be popping more than once or twice a day but that didn't matter to me and I had sufficiently recovered from my afternoon pop to enjoy my final group session – not cheap but my farewell to Pattaya this trip in easily my favourite bar / gentleman's club.

Walking Street – not a lot has changed. Tried several of the agogo bars, some pretty girls. Actually did not consider (as has been reported) that Pin Up had the best talent. For me, one girl in Palace stood out and I BFd her. But as others have reported, I didn't like that a lot of people walk along WS with phones lifted up videoing all that was going on. I restricted myself to two visits mainly because I much preferred LK Metro and Tree Town or Buakhao / Pothole and even Lenkee.

Tried all three of the Honey soapies. For me, best of the three is Honey 2 which is North Pattaya next door to Siam hotel and not far from Terminal 21 mall. Great choices though far more expensive than in the above venues. Pricing system in colours. Red tag girls cheapest (from memory 2000 baht) up to the black tags (4000). So x4 prices of the other bars etc but still a great experience and I actually returned twice for Blue tag M155 who looked like Kim Kardashian without the huge butt and was truly 10/10 service.

Another fabulous trip to Pattaya. Whilst it is run down in many parts, and the beach is not that great, the options for mongering are truly unrivalled across the globe. Dubai is fantastic but x10 more expensive. On a value for money basis Pattaya is fantastic. I loved the Gentleman's clubs far more than I expected. Many reports say the girls are older and not so attractive so that when a really pretty girl stops getting picked in the agogos they move on to the gents clubs. That was not my experience at all. Maggie Mays and Camel Toe did have older and less pretty girls, but I found really pretty young girls in most of the clubs and High Rollers particularly so. The soapies are really good – not as good as the opulent ones in Bangkok but still good. The areas around LK Metro and Tree Town are great for a night out. For food, and live music try Malibrew – food was incredible and the artists very talented. Excellent. A bit out of it up in North Pattaya again but worth the inexpensive cab there and back into town. Or the Don Pepe Spanish tapas in town.

Well been here since Friday after my last visit in June.

For the Pattaya junkys? Yeah you can fuck and all. It's still better than most cities.

For the realistic people and information seekers? It's time to move on. Pattaya is at the end of a era. A new one will start but when that happens there is no excuse for NOT going to BKK or Phuket. Both cities have much more to offer and the price gap is probably gone.

What happened? (IMO) Too many bars have been sold for crazy amount of money without anything to back it up. You buy a bar for a few million THB? You not buy ANYTHING. Because you still got to pay rent. Girls are not on a payroll. So you buy on a "promise" of possible revenue from the previous owner. Without the tools he had (aka the ladies).

So you basically pay for furniture. Maybe a soundsystem. Its crazy. But many guys fell into this scam...

I am still on the ground here in Pattaya, you can see some of my previous posts and my opinion has not changed much. I agree with you, Pattaya is not what it was and its in a lot of trouble.

There have always been too many bars spread out all over the show, but at the moment the competition for girls is so fierce that its created bizarro world. My intention is not to put people off, its mostly to provide some perspective so that you can adjust expectations and perhaps consider what your game plan should be based on how much time you would have if you travel here.

I would like to add some general updates based on what I am seeing and hearing given the additional time I have had here too. I'm out of here in two weeks, so its ended up being a good 2.5 months in Pattaya. I'll be going over old ground in some cases, but my view has been solidified for the most part that this place is past its prime and I am not sure how it actually recovers either. Normally I am a two week millionaire type, but I have changed things up given the longer amount of time I have spent in country. I have come to realize talking to the girls, bar managers and owners / staff of various businesses that its the two week millionaires that kept this place going. As much as the old cheap charlies and expats complain about the pricing pressure they create, in reality they were actually the lifeblood for a lot of the industry because they spend big and they pay the bills.

1 - The gogos are a fucked. I love thai women and asian women, but there is simply no way I can justify paying these sorts of barfines and prices. Not to mention the LD quotas. I am not short of a buck and not a budget traveller, but we are talking about prices that are starting to match Europe. Beautiful thai women are up there with women from all over the world, but the ratios have never been in their favour like they are in Eastern Europe and Latin America either. So if you are on a short trip here, you are going to be paying through the nose for a belter or having to waste time hunting for that gem that pops up from time to time. You are in for 8 k-10 k all up by the time BF's, drinks, LD's and girls rates are taken into account if you pull them out before midnight. Add the hotel cost, food, flights and other expenses? If they were full of women that could match any half decent FKK, Spanish bordello or Brazilian club I would say fine. But its not at that level, regardless of your tastes and how deep the yellow fever runs. Anyone who says otherwise has never been to these countries, or went to the wrong places when they visited.

2 - Long Time (LT) is actually becoming an issue. This was one of the major appeals of Thailand, was that you took a girl for the night and it was normally 1-2 pops before bed and then another shot when you wake up with the morning wood. More and more girls are only providing ST now. This is from the bars, gentlemen's clubs, etc. Gogos its still bog standard for most, but the Thai LT service is gradually eroding.

3 - The competition for girls has created a massive shortage across the whole industry. Gogo's are paying a lot to get staff and they are taking just about anyone. Which means they are hoovering up all the girls, and that has reduced the quality right down the food chain. There are still a lot of girls who choose to work in specific environments because it suits them, many just prefer working bars or gentlemen's clubs to gogos regardless of the extra cash they would make, but the shortage is having an impact. The 10 day contracts are all the girls talk about, and they are shopping themselves as much as possible.

4 - All the girls are complaining about how quiet it is. Beyond that restaurant staff, massage therapists, hotel staff. All saying the same thing and you can sense there are a lot of nerves and a growing concern that things do need to pickup this high season otherwise a lot more places are going under. This season is a big one for Pattaya and it needs it badly.

5 - The girls are not actually pushing their rates up, for the most part those have stayed the same for years now and I am not sure how a lot of them actually do it. A few of the gogos are rammed, but the vast majority are dead quiet. A lot of bars and GC's too, a few doing good trade but many are struggling. Nightclubs are also not that busy, and when they are they packed with Indians sitting around a single drink who spend the night dancing with each other and talking more than anything else. The costs are the costs from the business owners to cover their overheads, not from the girls themselves. A lot of these girls are struggling to get more than a few drinks sold a night, and in many cases are not being barfined at all given the high BF rates at some places. So they are reliant on those 10 day contracts and salaries too.

6 - The pressure to sell drinks in some venues is fucking insane and it puts you off going into these venues. Its relentless, to the point where cleaning staff are hammering you. I know the owners need to start turning a buck, but this is not the way. I have not been back to walking street in two weeks, and even LK Metro it is out of control with it. Its a pain in the ass dealing with the bullshit because you can't just sit and have a beer for a while it seems.

7 - Never thought I would see the day, but some girls in GC's and bars even on Soi 6 are drinks only. They don't BF, they only sell drinks. No idea why owners and managers think their customers are coming to speak broken English to bar girls only, but this is becoming more and more frequent. This is how desperate they are for any girls in the bar now.

8 - 90% of the girls are not pushing their rates up, but I think its coming soon. Been a few cheeky attempts at 1500-1800 on Soi 6, which has also turned into a drinking alley more than the fucking alley it used to be. There is no reason to visit Soi 6, if its bars and GC's your best bet is currently Buakow area where I have been spending more and more time.

9 - Hotels are cheap as shit right now, its tough not to just stick around if you can work remotely like I do. So that's what I have done, and I have settled into a routine that has been very comfortable. Everything else is still very well priced, so accommodation, food and food choices, gyms, etc are all great and cheap as hell given quality. And I always loved the people here. Beyond the sex industry Thailand has a lot to offer and still does, so I have enjoyed my time here immensely still.

10 - Being able to spend more time here means I have been getting stuck into the semi pros and less active freelancers. This has been a goldmine, the quality of the girls is right up there with the top gogo quality at times and its been delivery straight to the hotel room with the occasional night out with them. At the moment, I think the freelancers are the way to go, be it nightclubs or dating sites. Please bare in mind I am mid 40's too, and some of these girls have their age limits so they are picking their customers a bit more so maybe my experience is a bit skewed, I am not sure. SO if you are here a while, you can set yourself up like a king in no time. However if you don't have that time on the ground, its going to be a challenge unless you want to drop a lot of money.

11 - A lot of girls are going the freelance route now. They talk amongst themselves a ton, have their own chat groups and messaging groups, etc. Make no mistake they are organized. When you ask them why some of them who would be very popular at the gogos are not working there, or even a bar? Basically they are sick to death of the bullshit from the mamasans and the owners. Pressure to sell drinks, pressure to compete with other girls, pressure to dance for 8-10 hours, lots of drinking, fines for everything under the sun including days they can't work if they are sick. Inability to choose customers sometimes, endlessly bombarded with loud music. So they make a little less as freelancers, but they set their own hours and they also have tons of ways to meet men now. They are all active on social media, so they are constantly reeling men in. They also tend to get a lot of repeats which they all prefer.

I agree that with recession coming, the increasing cost of flights and the lack of tourism from Russia and China that the Thai tourism industry is in for a seriously difficult run the next few years. The Indians are not spending anything, and I think Pattaya as it is right now is going to put a lot of people off from returning too, especially for those of you who have been here a a few times and have expectations given prior experience.

She kept the whole bucket to herself. Wonder does he know that Pin Up keeps 1000 of that, only 10 baht per ball goes to the girl. He must be new. Oh well, now I saw why my offer of nearly 8,000 plus clubbing, seemed like a lowball offer. Cheap ass me. Didn't feel like competing. Instead I walked over to SkyFalls and called good ole Giftzy whom I met at Living Dolls ages ago. One of my first barfines ever in Pattaya ages ago. She since worked for quite a few clubs including Pin Up. Bought her a couple of drinks and got a free hand job. SkyFalls is so dark and raunchy.

The global recession has nothing to do with Russia-Ukraine. It has everything to do with governments and central banks printing money for years and increasing the debt whilst kicking the can down the road. The global recession is just commencing and it will be felt in Thailand as it will everywhere else. Tourist numbers will drop as farang won't have the money to travel. Less tourists means the price of pussy decreases. Just wait another year and these same girls pushing for 2 k ST will be lucky to get 1 k ST.

Certainly too many bars in Pattaya, contraction has to happen.

I'm in Samui now and yes the quality and quantity is low, but the girls that are here are so desperate I am getting whatever I want. There is an extreme lack of tourists here and the majority of Samui tourists aren't mongers anyways. I'm surprised these girls are here instead of Phuket. Yesterday I had a girl over for 3 hours for for 1 k ST and she was more attractive than any girl I bedded in two months I was in Pattaya. Today sampling a cute one I got down to 700 baht ST, we'll see how it goes.

After my first and probably last for a while trip to Pattaya here is al ist of what I enjoyed, of courses everyones tastes are different.

Taxi service from BKK. I used both Mr. Nice and Nam Lady Taxi and I will have to go with Mr Nice. My return fight after leaving Thailand for a week was early and Mr. Nice driver was waiting vs when my initial flight into Thailand was 45 min early I had to wait for Nam's driver. Mr. Nice was 200 baht cheaper too.

Hotel. Holiday Inn Express- Can't speak to compare to others as this is the only Pattaya hotel I have been, but great staff, clean, new, decent location, in house laundry.

Massage. Nemo for no funny business top notch massage, Super Thai the next block down for decent massage but other stuff on the table. Ask for oil massage upstairs. I had been going here daily and on my 3rd day I saw a tall big boob hottie. There is only one other decent looking massage girl there altough the boss lady is superfit. Anyways asked her if she does massage hotel, no problem. Long story short I paid her shop fee for the last two days of my trip and had a very fun two days. Nice GFE for thoose wanting and not greedy. I won't say her name but she will stand out and she is heading back home shortly for next three weeks but I highly recommend hitting this place and her up.

GC. Maggie May and Purple Club. Maggie May a bit more fun lively and closer to everything. Purple club hotter girls. I also went to high rollers, and there were some hotties for sure but observing body behavior I could tell many were not true pleasers.

Bar. I hit a up a few bars but my daily was The Jungle / Rabbit Hole on Soi 13/1. I came across this bar on a Buzzin video and found out the owner was a fellow Canadian so I had to stop by. Quite quiet in terms of traffic, but they have a wicked band, the girls aren't pushy for lady drinks. I went every night to listen to good live music play pool and not be bothered by girls wanting to by drinks. Most of the ladies are older but there is one in her mid thirties. Doesn't speak english well but with translate was no problem and enjoyed a few fun nights with her. Again very service oriented GFE, and very loud in bed. I can't see how he can make any money only saw a few customers a night so I have to shamelessly plug his place, I think its mroe of the location on Soi 13 than the bar itself Hoping high season things pick up a bit.

Go Go - Kink in LK metro. Altough I didn't bar fine, a regret, but ran out of time. Go to the second floor. plenty of debauchery.

Food. A block away from my hotel first intersection towrds LK metro great coffee and smoothie cart. Korandos not far away from my hotel was good too, a few really good looking ladies their but I think some are not BF. I checked out both Cheap Charlies & Nickys for an english breakfast and altough CC is nicer food and service and Nicky's is better.

Right next to Super Thai is a super sweet and super hot girl running a Sushi stand. I would come support her a cause I felt a bit bad, not alot of traffic but she was super hot. So I didn't mind chatting to her for a bit while I ate my sushi My last day she told me she might break up with her falang BF. Damn a little too late, I would be over that like a pig in shit. Sushi was good for the price and I recommend checking her out.
