This is why most people are coming. If these girls are sick to death of the nonsense that comes with working at these venues, and they live in an age of social media where they don't need the foot traffic to find customers, then its another body blow for the venue operators themselves as both girls and customers gradually decide to just look at alternatives as the experience declines. This is starting to accelerate now, and Covid was pedal to floor in 5th gear I think.

Most of the girls hate pestering customers for drinks all day, and they know its pissing people off. They also don't want to drink all day either, they know its bad for their health and many customers apparently get quite agitated when the girls are drinking soft drinks rather than alcohol with them. I hope their optimism is correct because I would love to see Pattaya return to what it used to be. I would take 50% of what it used to be. I just don't think that its going to turn out this way, and I think the short term thinking with the owners playing catch up is going to bite them in the ass long term.

Another example is the soapies. I have been meeting girls who used to work at them, but have since stopped. Anyone who has been in them knows the quality of these girls tends to be on the very high side by Thai standards, so they are never going to struggle to find a place to work and there are some knock outs in these venues. Disagree. There is a huge value prop to Thailand for a US based person like myself. I usually spend 1 week in country twice a year. I travel business class for 120-140 K points miles + $50 fees round trip. I use Marriott for a few nights at the St Regis, or cash outlay $100 nights at the JW. I spend a couple of nights in Pattaya at the Hilton or IC for points /$125/ night cash. All of my stays have club access due to status, so meals / drinks are comped. I can go to a Michelin starred restaurant in BKK for less than $80 for the meal / drinks.

At current exchange rates a BBBJ / CIM at a BJ bar is $20 for pretty much as long you want to hold out. A Soi 6 session with a couple of drinks will set you back perhaps $55, again almost always semi PSE with BBBJ / CIM.
