Brevistay is for those people who look for quick check in for mongering say 3-6 or 12 hours. A regular hotel won't give you room for short stay at given point of time in a day. It will only give you room for 24 hours that too at after 12 pm check in rule and 11 am check out rule. Brevistay gives you room 24*7 with no strict hassle of any check in or check out time. Although both require ID for couples, but Brevistay gives to people who are unmarried local, whereas, regular hotels don't accept unmarried local couples. Your regular hotels won't accept local IDs. Plus in Brevistay you can check in without luggage, whereas in regular hotel you have to carry luggage to show them you have come for genuine stay purpose. In Brevistay the hotels are mostly 2*&3* types, and I don't know about regular ones. You see there are more than one advantage of brevistay. Personally I have used Brevistay for around 7 hours with a WG at nominal price of 550 Rs in New Delhi. I can't complain about these hourly hotels. They are a blessing for budget mongers like me.

However based on my experience, regular hotel have never asked me about married / unmarried when checking in with a girl. Never about luggage etc as well. Getting a room is a genuine purpose itself. All they want is a valid ID for both, yes valid ID is usual ones not local ones you are right here as well. All they care is ID and room payment and number of persons.

Once it happened I had booked short stay for 2 hours and going with the flow, it was so nice that we had already crossed 2 hours, if it was regular hotel we could have stayed more but because it was hourly we had to abruptly stop and check out.

Regarding check in and check out time regular hotels are very flexible. Anytime after 12 noon can check in.

I will try more hourly hotels now. Seems there are positives there.

I am trying to compare Brevistay / Mistay with regular hotels (non-OYO).

1 night price for regular hotels seem to be sometime lower if not comparable to 3 HR rates in Brevi etc.

Both require IDs for the couple.

So not sure if Brevi actually helps.
