But that's what's great about this forum, everyone is entitled to their opinions. Opinions are like as*holes, everyone has one. It's just that some are more shi*ty than others.

Walking down to Foodland the other day, bumped into another falang who's been here for 40 years. We were commiserating on how much BKK has changed over the decades. Back then, walking down the street, eye contact with everyone and if you smiled, you got that famous Thai smile back. Now, it's just blobs of meat to be avoided when passing.

Loy Krathong probably my favorite Thai festival. Went to the local temple with Thai civilian friends, and always nice to see old friends there. One was nice enough to gift me a krathong that I launched on the canal. When I was young I enjoyed BKK Songkran, but as I got older, I prefer up-country. You can still "play water" but no dousings with ice cold water, and the powder is patted on, not dumped on. MY opinion.
