I understand the risk of 'transacting' with someone on here with no reputation or so on, but an absolute newbie and researching on google most of I can find on those sites are obviously fake ads and they're all in-calls, and I kind of don't want to walk myself into an escort that looks absolutely nothing like advertised but pay just as much at best or be robbed (if that wasn't considered robbery) at worst, if not killed, or put in jail (I don't think stings are really a thing in Egypt LOL but yeah never know how safe those 'airbnbs' really are). I didn't send this madam any penny before or after. For the girl, yes I gave her 200 egp taxi back because it wasn't her mistake.

Looking at the big picture, this madam has lost her 1000 egp commission for this time and lost other thousands too as there will be no "next times". This business is built on mutual trust and now trust is lost. I consider the waste of "quality time" as severe as the waste of money exactly.

That day, after the fake girl left, I texted one of my few favorite Indies and luckily she came quickly and saved the day. But on the long run, when a new face is needed, face-to-face picking should be the best way to avoid any surprises. I read some posts here that talked about street picking which should also be cheaper. But strangely I never noticed any post mentioning night club picking (which is the main way of picking in most world counties I think).

The Alex madam sent me a deck of photos of around 7-8 WGs. Most of them looked nice so I picked one and picked 2 more as a backup in case the first one suddenly cancelled and closed mobile (which happens frequently).

On the next day, I texted the madam 3 hours before the assigned time (because Alex-Cairo distance is 3 hours) to check if the first WG is really on the way, the madam replied 'Yes Yes she is on the way, but I want you to send the whole damage in advance by mobile once she arrives" (It has been clear at the end that this is all that she care about). I answered "Sorry No, I never give in advance".

After half an hour, she texted again "oh it seems the first WG isn't coming. I don't know where she is now, her mobile is closed. But no problem don't worry dear, I will send one of the other backup WGs immediately".

At last, a WG has arrived and it was a sarcastic surprise that she wasn't one of the backup WGs, and she wasn't even in the whole photos deck that madam shared !, and she was completely the opposite of my taste. I showed her the photo on mobile and told her "I will ask you one question: are you this girl?' and luckily she was honest enough to answer quickly "No. Of course not".

I told her "Ok, it seems that you are a good girl and it's not your mistake after all, so I will give you just your taxi cost so you return back without damage on your side", and she left.

Back to the madam on Whatsapp, I told her what happened and she tried to apologize with all kinds of nonsense reasons.

Not sure about the level of rude words that's allowed on the forum but it seems many madams are just a bunch of "xxxx" (you put the word). They think that "any girl would do" and all they care about is to raise prices and get money in advance. For me, this madam is permanently blacklisted and I am still trying to find ways of face-to-face pickup to avoid such recurring scamming. What EgyMongerNew mentioned isn't a full solution because it won't restore the time and temper wasted in getting such bad surprises again and again.

And also for Western views if she wants me to visit Egypt again she needs to start showing some skin on these Facetime calls we have.

(Sorry if closure long rants) For this whole Cairo thing, I was hoping to spend my 2022 checking off remains of my unseen Hobby bucket list like Colombia, Brazil, SE Asia, Vietnam, another go at the Philippines, then start looking into long term 2023. Instead, life stalled out my travel plans so maybe grind away this coming January starting with South America then later Asia. But only divert to Egypt if she will for sure DTF.

I am finishing my report. I hope this will help someone to avoid bad experiences. I must warn you. Egypt is a tourist scam country.

I have lived here for a complete season and have traveled to all tourist cities and places. During this time, I made a lot of acquaintances with locals and expats. So, I can tell not only from a tourist view.

Every Egyptian looks at you like a bag of money. No exceptions. They may seem very friendly with clear altruistic intentions, but at the end of your interactions, they ask for money or scam you. In almost all scenarios, I realized the risks and the way of scamming me before it happened. But sometimes, I continued to play just out of curiosity with hard limiting the damage.

The street guys. You may spot a lot of guys who start talking with you on the street. They may offer a lot of illegal things, including sharmotas. For example, they may offer to go to a bar or club where they know "the right girls". The scheme is pretty standard, with a few variations. He asks you to buy something for him, to look natural. Then he points you to the girls working in this place. He may introduce the girl personally. The girl also asks to buy her a drink. As she is an employee, you will be asked to wait until the bar closes, and she could go with you. While sitting there, you may be serviced by different girls. All of them will ask you for tips. Also, your bill will be ten times higher than in any bar around. Of course, she won't go with you after the bar or club closes for different reasons. This was tested dozen times.

Taxi drivers. These guys could be dangerous. They stop near you, trying to grab your attention. If you ask for contacts, they may take you to "someplace". These places are often in impoverished districts. The main rule is not to give or show money to anyone before seeing the girl and the place. The girls may not meet your expectations. Also, the driver will wait for you to finish to take you back for a huge price. Their apartments look ugly and dirty. If you have any doubts, it's better to leave. The biggest scam I faced was the sexy girl on her period. She barely spoke English, and when we came to bed, she refused to have sex. Her "manager" said he didn't know, but they are happy to make a discount next time, LOL. Of course, I didn't get any refund. All that I got is an overpriced BJ.

There have also been moments when the situation got out of control. I'm pretty confident by nature, but I had a few raised-voice talks and pokes. If it is going hard to handle, then claim to call the police. The latter removes all questions.

The dating apps. Not so fast, but the only positive experience. The tourist girls are more likely to go into ONS. Premium subscription, a few handsome photos, and you will be good.

This thread. I haven't received any contacts from any monger, so here is my gut feeling from what I read and what I got. I have doubts about the reports and assume some of them could be a part of a scam scenario.

Speaking as someone who's gone this route with an Egyptian woman, what I can tell you is the majority are full of shit. They play virtuous but will end up cheating or just making your life miserable. Any respectable girl won't agree to a test shag because it means she's no longer got the title of virgin. It's also unlikely she'll agree to video sex because she'the be worried about you recording it and finding it online. You have a reasonable shit at something if you get engaged, but even then, the question is why. If you truly care for her then go ahead.
