You arent an Indian American, or an Indian. Use that American passport, that's your ticket. You might get overcharged over that, but that's because you are "rich".

That 22 hours sounds like Atlanta to BKK via Korea. Thats a rough 15 hour pop to Seoul. THen you get in at 1 am. Then you screw around getting out of the airport. Don't see a bed till dawn, uggg.

This is why I am developing cold feet. Too long flights for too few freelancers and massage shops.

May be I will wait till snowwhite is open again.

After an excruciating 22 hour flight I reached BkK and by the time I came I reached hotel near nana, it was 3 am.

Had couple of drinks (that I got from Airport).

Slept till 1:30 pm and headed out at 2:30 pm.

Was a tiring flight and got an amazing aroma Thai Message at Bai Po.

600 TB and she surely removed couple of knots.

Went to Soi Cowboy at 7:30 pm. Probably was too early, chicks were 6-7.

Hit Nana at 10 pm and bar fined a sexy chick from Mandarin Bar around 12 am.

Paid 4. 5 K TB including Bar fine. (Obviously was a rip off as I am an 'Indian' American).

This chick came and we had amazing fun for about 30 minutes. Including RIM, BBBJ, and hell even she was ready to do without cover.

Better sense prevailed and I used see but couldn't finish in her. So finally I asked her to blow me and did CIM.

After this (12:45 am) she complained of headache, and said wanted to sleep. Probably an usual trick of theirs and I let her sleep and even gave her a Tylenol.

Regards price. 4. 500 k including Barfine isn't a ripoff considering it's Long Time.

Hey guys def want to take a trip to here but am struggling to pick which area is better?

I see some prefer Pattaya other Bangkok. Which do why'all recommend? I'm not necessarily a first timer when it comes to mongering so I'm not an easy target or a simp.

Are the girls / massages / hotels better in one city vs the other?

When you guys fly in does Pattaya have their own airport bc I know the 2 are about 2 hrs apart. Just trying to gather some general info as I plan for this trip. I'm quite thorough and try to be as organized and safe as possible.

I'd consider it as a lesson learned. I know I had to, and unfortunately, would have to relearn when I got complacent. Given it seems that the going rates are 3 k ST, 5 K LT, 4. 5 K including bar fine doesn't seem that over the top. Consider it an educational fee.

MY advice: chat with the girl to check her attitude, then ask for her menu, or just tell her YOUR job requirements; specify ST / LT INCLUDING time of departure; and price. You might throw in your hotel (though that's a trade off): wallet size vs her safety. FINALLY, add it's pay AFTER. If she mentions concerns about payment, well, trust is a TWO way street. A girl who wants to be paid BEFORE sets off my "Danger Will Robinson" alerts. Not saying it can't work, but gives her the control. Having said THAT, I always pay what was agreed to if time of service adhered to, regardless of quality of service. Otherwise, pay after doesn't work. Poor quality guarantees no repeats, quality generates repeat business.

I was hoping to take advantage of the fact that they're handing out 45-day visas now (and this trip I'the part of a longer tour through Asia, so I'm planning on having 60-90 day supply).

I've been doing some research on the subject and I've written to the Embassy asking for guidance, but considering the average age of a lot of travelers to Thailand, I figured that my situation cannot be that unique and was hoping that others would share their experiences with this issue.

I plan on speaking to my doctor next week about providing me a letter that summarizes my ailments and medication list. Any other steps that you all recommend?

I just carry my "my Chart" printout of my drugs, and a 90 day supply and never had a hassle. If you are a cardiac patient and are in need, I highly recommend Dr. Jiranut at BNH or Dr. Wascin Buddari. They fixed me up and even my local USA docs said they did a great charge (unlike my Cambodian tooth, which my dentist laughed at).

As others have noted, it's rare for Thai Customs officers at BKK to search the luggage of incoming passengers. Moreover, anecdotal evidence suggests they are even less inclined to search when the passenger is an older gent who looks "respectable. " (Recognizing of course the prejudices and assumptions built into that adjective.)

It's also important to note the odds are very good that he can purchase whatever meds he needs in Thailand. Most pharmacies, especially those in Bangkok and Pattaya, stock the usual meds that are often prescribed for chronic conditions like diabetes and cardiac conditions. If Mr. Interest is really worried about carrying enough meds to last 60-90 days, he could hedge his bets by packing a 30-day supply and the buying what he needs once he arrives. Depending on the cost of prescription meds and the insurance coverage in his home country, he may even save some money.

Thailand and basically any other country almost never will check and even if they do they won't do anything. Prescription meds are always fine. Have zero concerns, just show up.

I arrived with 60 days of my meds, some in the original oversized RX bottles and others repackaged (and hand labeled) to save space. The written prescriptions were also in my bag. When I opened my bags they each contained a security card that said my bag had been inspected. No problem for me, nobody even verbally told me that the inspection took place.

My prescriptions are all oral and topical. I might worry if I had to bring an injectable prescription.

Came through BKK in mid October with my meds in 90 day supply bottles. No body asked or checked anything but my passport. I think a key factor is don't look like a bum.
