Thanks for the report and I think most would broadly agree with your findings.

Your NPK experience sounds a bit below average. You may just have been unlucky, but quality / attitude has certainly suffered a lot in line with recent price increases.

There were a lot of warning signs in your incall encounter which you rightly enumerate and kudos for being prepared to admit them for the benefit of others. In general punters appear to get better results in the 500-700 k range than in the 1 M+. As you say the women are always a few years older than their stated ages, unless they are genuinely 18. Bait and switch is not uncommon.

I think one of the main differences in the scene between Vietnam and the other countries you list is that in Vietnam a very firm hand is required. Accepting the wrong goods or poor service and still paying is just seen as weakness and only leads to a downward spiral. The problem is that always being vigilant and adversarial takes a lot of energy and it is at the root of why Vietnam attracts fewer returning tourists generally.

It can be a real pain having to pull your pants back on and telling them that you want to change girls at NPK. Similarly having to repeatedly reject gaito girls, and catfish at your hotel.

You missed the best part of HCM. Pasteur Street! Don't even waste a second on Bui Vien that's for tourists. Dating: I'm a young-looking, athletic guy, full hair, 5'10", low body fat, and I approached several of the beautiful white skinned thin girls at Bui Ven, Ho Thi Ky street food (cool place), Vincom Mall, Saigon Mall, War Rememberance Museum, etc, but not one of them will give me the time of day. Most girls speak perfect english, but pretend not to. Sitting in cafe for hours is the most popular activity, but don't expect any mingling; when I quietly approached a group of girls at a table, they just stared at me with the most deadpan faces. I walked all the alleyways of Bui Vien (including 241/9 Pham Ngu Lao) for multiple days and couldn't find 1 freelancer. Only 1 very ugly lady boy hit on me.

Nha Trang:

Likely the best place if you're staying near Bui Vien. Ask your hotel where to go. My Little Japan hotel sent me to another place but it was so packed I hopped in another taxi to go to Benh Thanh. Rule of thumb if there aren't 10 or 20+ people lining up at the place to exchange money that's not a good place.
